Chapter 9 | ***a normal day***

Rainbow's POV

I woke up feeling the nice warming sunshine on my face. I stretched and remembered everything that happened yesterday.

I quickly sat up and realized soarin wasn't here.

"Where did that pie eating machine went to"

I got out of bed and brushed my mane.

I zoomed into thunderstorms room. I cant wait to see my baby colt!

I also brought a baby bottle for his breakfast.

When i opened the door....

My eyes shrunk when i saw soarin already in the room feeding thunder.

"what in the same of celestia" i muttered under my breath

He looked at me and winked charmingly. I laughed and stood beside him

"your up early. That's really new because you mostly wake up when you come eat for lunch" i teased.

He glared at me for a sec and laughed

"Can't agrue with that. Its just that i was so exited to see thunder that i woke up earlier than usual. Btw i made breakfast for you downstairs." he says.

I smiled at him and kissed him at the cheek.

I flew downstairs and sat walked towards the dining room.

I started eating the pancakes he made for me and it was delicious!

After i finished i drank a glass of water then went to the shower room.

I dried myself and headed to the living room.

I saw soarin placing down thunder on his crib and started playing with him.

I grabbed my camera and pictured them both. The picture came out and i pasted it on the refrigerator using a magnet.

I sat beside soarin and saw thunder reaching both of his hooves to us.

"Aww isnt that cute" soarin commented

I patted him on the shoulder and said, "Good job feeding him first thing in the morning soar"

He blushed after the statement "Aww it was no biggie"

We both stared at the adorable little guy as he falls into a slumber.

"He's so adorable i just want to pinch his whittle cheeks and hug him all day" he said

"Me too" i replied.

We just sat there staring at our baby colt. I can feel soarin about to explode Of cuteness.

"Weeee....So...Much...Diabeteeeeesss" he says

I laughed at him then looked at the wall clock

10:00 am.

I looked at the stallion and said,

"Hey, you should be making lunch now"

He frowns and said, "awww nooo i want to watch him sleep some more" he whines

"So we're just gonna watch him then? Were not gonna eat?" i asked

"Seeing his cute whittle face for the whole day is good enough for me" he said

I glared at him and he laughs,

"Im just kidding, sure I'll make lunch" he said and kissed me on the cheek.

He flew to the kitchen and started preparing ingredients.

I flew beside Thunder's crib and stared at him for a while.

He wrapped his hooves around his baby bottle while drinking and sleeping.

if he's gonna fall asleep like that his baby bottle might drip and make a mess

I slowly and gently tried to take off hid baby bottle but he still wants it.

"alright then.."

I read some daring do books while waiting for soarin to finish cooking.

Minutes passed and soarin had finished cooking! I prepared the table and we started eating.

"so was it hard?" i asked

"What hard?" he said

"you know, last night when you took thunder to sleep"

"he's a newborn dash, he sleeps like 24/7 so it wasnt that hard" he says

I chuckled and said "it wont last long though"

"yeah" he laughs.

"By the way... I talked to spitfire, you will be working back to the HQ and i will stay here to watch over thunder" i said

"Alright then, will you guys be fine on your own?" he asked

"Dont worry i got it handled" i replied

He looked at me worridly, "are you sure? Taking charge of the house while taking care of the baby isnt as easy as you think." he said

I thought about it, yeah he's right.

"Then we'll hire a nanny" i said

"that's a good idea, but where can we find one?" he replied

"ill ask my friends" i said

"Alright then" he smiled.

Soarin's POV

Me and dashie spent the rest of our day in the house watching over thunder.

We did our night routines and rainbow sent thunder to sleep on his crib. When she was finished she climbed on our bed and rested on my chest,

"Man that was exhausting" she said

"Really?" i chuckled

She placed a hoof around my body and looked at me,

"ready to start working next week?" she asked

I pouted and moved her on top of me,
"don't remind me of that, im gonna miss you guys alot" i said

She playfully rolled her eyes and said,

"Hey, its not like you're gonna leave or something, just think about it.. You'll see your teammates again" she said

I smiled, "They would love it if you guys could come along.."

"i promise to pay visits with thunder" she said

"But dash.." i started,

"what?" she asked

"You....Love being a wonderbolt..You wont just quit your job or anything like that...Are you?" i asked worridly.

She smiled and kissed me, "Silly soarin, im not quitting. Im just gonna have a long long long day off until we can both find a way to work together without having any problems taking care of thunder" she stated

I chuckled and wrapped my hooves around her back,

"You're so smart dashie, i love you" i said

"Love you too" she replied

We both shared a passionate kiss before cuddling each other to sleep.
