Don't ever leave me again

3. ~first day of school~

JAI'S POV

We were all sitting in Beau's car, Luke, Rachel and me. My big brother was taking us to school, since our mom had already left for work. l was listening to my music, my beats plugged in, while Rachel and Luke were in the backseat, as usual, talking and looking at their instagram.

Since the beginning of the Janoskians, Rachel always has been there for us. She is helping with editting our videos, even filmming and sometimes, rarelly because she's a chicken, she is doing some dares or challenges with us. lt was funny when she accept to be in the video, a lot of girls were hoping to be her. She was also running our instagram and twitter pages, that means that she was the one posting our pictures, even if we all had our own accounts, there was the Janoskians official page. She was in charge of it.

l have to admit that Rachel was really a beautiful girl. Her brown hair and green eyes always amazed me but l never told anyone about it. I know her since so long, it would be just so awkward. Anyway, there is nothing. l have nothing for her so, why would l even think about that? What's wrong with me... Ok, hum... forgrt about it.

Beau drove away from the school after wishing good luck to the three of us, while Skip joined us. The four of us just stared at the building, thinking about all the memories we had here.

"Last year!" Rachel halfcheered half sighed and she started to walk toward the doors, followed by Luke. Skip and l joined a bit after, sighing since we didn't really had the choice.

We were now quit popular at school. l mean, l had a lot of girls around me before our videos, but now that we were famous, we had all the attention. The football players, who were the popular before, were sending us death glares, but being who we are, we just laughed at their face and made our way to our lockers.

RACHEL'S POV

The first day went really quickly since it was only half the day. We were meeting our teachers and schedule for the new school year. l was so excited, since l had all of my classes with at least one of the boys. Most of them were with Luke so it was even better. Not that l don't like Skip or Jai, it's just that me and Luke have a different relation! l can't really explain, it's like if he was my soulmate, but without feelings.

I was so happy to see my friends Lea and Josy. These girls were the kind of friends that everybody needs to survive in high school. First, there was Lea, a tall brunette with blue eyes who can play every sports, except surfing, which is my thing. Lea is in the girl soccer team of the school and she got a scolarship from the University of Standford, in USA because of her talent. l was really excited for her, even if l was sad to know that this was my last year with Lea. Then, we have Josy, the drama queen. Josy is a member of the theater club and she is really good in acting. She has ginger hair with freckles on her cheeks and l think she is just so gorgeous. l am jealous of her confidence. Also, she is the gossip girl of the school, knowing everything about everybody. She can tell you about the latest breakup, who is dating who, what is the schedule of the guy of the month (hum.. yeah l know it's kind of pathetic, but they always find a boy each month that is the ultimate guy to date..) and even the menu at the cafeteria. Josy is a reliable resource.

l haven't seen my friends from all the summer vacations so yes there was some tears when we met in the hallway. lt was good to see them, even if we the boys were laughing at us.

After the assembly in the auditorium of the school, l met the boys at our spot and we all decieded, since it was a sunny day, to go get ice cream. We walked to the mall, along of the beach and they were all arguing on who was going to pay for my ice cream. l was laughing as l made my way to the counter and ordered what l always order, a triple cookie dough ice cream. l looked over my shoulder and saw the guys, still debating because they didn't even noticed l had already paid for myself.

l went up to them and stood there in silence, eating my ice cream. They stopped talking, looking at me.

"lt's fine boys, l got it!" l told them in a teasing voice. They gave each others a look and went to the counter to order their own food, sighing.

"l will never understand the girls!" Skip said, rolling his eyes.

"One day they are crying because we don't pay for them and the other, they don't want us to pay!" Jai said, emphasizing the hole thing. l rolled my eyes at him and elbowed him in the stomach. We all laughed and went back outside of the mall, since the waves looked just so nice.

After eating, we headed back to the house so we could change into our swim suit. l called James and Beau and informed them we were going surfing. They agreed to come and so Jai, Luke, Skip and l were waiting on the porch of the Brooks' house, which was mine too. Beau's car came in the driveway shortly after.

The waves were just like l had predict. They weren't slow but not too much high either. lt was the perfect movement and it was easy to surf. After falling of my board, l sat on it, in the middle of the ocean and looked at the boys, looking for breath. Jai and Beau were surfing while Luke came next to me and James and Skip were just back to the shore.

"l wish we could do that everyday!" Luke said, staring at Jai who just had fell. Both of us gasped because it must have been a painful land, but he came out of the water shortly after so we weren't worried about him dying.

"Yeah, me too." l answered a bit after.

Being Luke, my bestfriend came closer to my board and made me capsize from it. I didn't had the time to react so l just fell in the water. l could hear him laugh from where l was and so l opened my eyes, went under his board and pulled on his foot that was in the water. Shortly after, he joined me and we got our head out of the water.

"Hey!" He said, out of breath, pretending he was mad but a smirl spread on his face as he made me drown back in the water.

I grabbed my board and went back on the shore, exausted. Luke followed me and we just layed on the hot sand. lt was around 3 pm but all l wanted was sleep. l decieded to just close my eyes, but as soon as l did, l fell asleep.

LUKE'S POV

l was talking to Rachel, when l realized she wasn't answering back. l looked up to her, she was still lying on the sand, and noticed that she was sleeping. l could see her chest rise up at her slow rythm of sleepy breathing.

Beau and Jai joined us on the beach shortly after and they saw Rachel. A big smirk appeared on their face and l instantly shook my head no.

"l know what you are thinking about and the answer is no. Don't do that she will get mad!" l half whispeared, half screamed. Of course, they didn't listen to me so Jai grabbed his cellphone to record the moment, as the three others went to a little girl and asked for her bucket. They had each a bucket that they filled with water. They came back up to us and l stood up, so there was just Rachel in her bikini, lyingon her side. They were all trying to content there laughter and Beau mouthed "1..2..3.." and then they spilled the water on her dry body.

"RACHEL!!!" They all screamed as they jumped around her. Rachel woke up instantly, yelling in surprise. She stood up, not laughing at all like the boys and jumped on Beau's back.

"You, stupid jerk!" She was screaming and Jai was still filmming. Finally, Rachel tackled Beau to the floor. He was laughing so hard that she was now on top of him. l have to admit that at this point, l was laughing too. Rachel was now laughing, as she threw some sand in Beau's mouth. He began to spit it out and started running against Rachel.

"You are dead!" He yelled from behind her.

Rachel just ran as fast as she could, but Beau was faster. He put her over his shoulder as she screamed between two laugh. They ended up in the water.

"They look cute together." James said out of nowhere as we all watched them fighting in the water. Skip nodded and Jai stopped filmming, going back to the towels. l don't know why, but James' remark made me uncomfortable and... jealous?
