RACHEL'S POV
I was in my room, getting ready for a party to celebrate the end of the summer. I thought it was a good idea to go, since the first week of school had been long. I decieded to wear normal clothing, a pair of high waist shorts and a long sleeves blue crop top. My make up was basic, even if I decieded to put some eyes shadow to emphasize my green eyes. I shoes my black vans and headed downstairs. The boys were all sitting on the couches of the living room, ready to go, waiting for me.
I have to admit that the last week had been pretty awkward. Jai was avoiding every eyes contact with me, and we barely spoke. At the dinner, Gina was the only one asking questions and our answers were short. Then, I asked Josie to drove me to school in the morning, because I didn't want to be stuck in a little space, which is the car, with Beau. Even if we wouldn't be just the two of us. Lea was the one, when she didn't had a soccer practice, to take me back. Luke knew something was going on, so I was scared that he might have heard Jai and I's conversation. Since I spent most of my afternoons with the girls, going shopping or hanging at the beach, Luke seemed kind of off tonight. Even him wasn't smiling a lot this week.
"You wanna go play basketball?" Luke asked me without excitement or any kind of joy in his voice.
He entered my room without knocking with a bball in his hands. I was laying on my bed, reading a magazine.
"Hum.. I don't know." Was my response. I heard him sighed and he turned on his heels and left my bedroom. I rolled my eyes and brushed him off with my hand.
As we made our way to the car, I grabbed his arm so he would turn to face me.
"Hey, is everything ok?" I asked him, my eyebrows furrowed together. He looked in my eyes for a quick second but he starred back down.
Luke nodded his head and hopped in the backseat car. I waved it off. I needed this party to make me forget about the Brooks brothers.
I was squeazed between Luke and Jai, in the back of Beau's car, him driving and James in the passenger's seat. Skip wasn't coming because he had a family reunion out of town. Nobody was talking, it was weird. We were all sitting and looking at the road. I couldn't stop myself from glaring at the mirror to look at Beau, and quickly look away when I felt that his eyes were on me. I was blushing and felt stupid, but I couldn't stop it.
JAI'S POV
After the weird discussion I had with Rachel, something had change between us. It was awkward and I wasn't able to look into her eyes. We were exchanging some good morning or good night here and there, but it doesn't felt right.
I knew she was lying to me when she denied her feelings for Beau, and just the way Rachel avoided him all week long, made it clearer. She didn't want me to see it, so she was hidding it. The thing is that I saw her glancing at my brother in the mirror of his car, while we were driving to the party. Rachel may have thought that nobody intercepted their little eyes exchange, but I did.
And I don't know why, but my hand were sweating and my face was fuming.
BEAU'S POV
Rachel was looking at me in the car, and I couldn't stop smiling. I don't know why, but seeing her flirting with me was so new from her, I had to enjoy it. She was incredibly beautiful that night, even if she was wearing casual clothes, the same that she wore all summer long.
I was looking back at her, but a part of me disapproved it. I know Luke already had feelings for Rachel and I felt like betray my little brother. And I know Rachel since she's born, isn't it a bit wrong? Anyway, I couldn't help it. She had all my attention.
RACHEL'S POV
I met Lea and Josie at the entrance of the party, which had been thrown at the house of the Quater back of the school football team, Eric. I knew he had a crush on me so he told me to invite everyone I wanted. I also knew that he despised my friends, the Janoskians, because they took his place in the popularity hierarchy of the school. I only used him to be invited in that kind of party.
There was people everywhere, food
in the kitchen and a table full of things to drink. I grabbed a beer and threw one to Luke. He seemed to relax a bit, smiling to me because I know which sort of beer is his favorite.
The music was loud enough to be heard outside, where I was with Eric and Lea. We were talking, Eric was trying to get closer and closer to me. I starred at Lea for help but she was already drunk and she never understood.
"I think I need to use the bathroom..." Lea told us, a hand on her stomach. She was about to throw up soon.
Before I could say anything to leave with her, she was already running and pushing threw the big amount of teenagers who were dancing and sweating together. Gross.
Eric wiggled his strong arms around my waist and whispeared in my ear.
"Finally, just the two of us!" He said seductively. It almost worked, but I wasn't another groupie of his. Yes, Eric was cute with his dark blond hair and blue eyes, but he was just too.. cliché. He was a good-looking guy, he was playing football and his parents were rich. Just like in the movies and it was boring. He always talks only about himself and his biceps. I don't think these are great conversation's subject.
I turned around so I could face him and get out of his grip. I felt his arms tighten around me and I began to be annoyed.
"Eric..." He cute me off with his finger on my lips.
"Shhh, babe. Let's go in my room!"
I rolled my eyes, but I didn't tried to leave. Eric was way stronger than me and he almost dragged me up the stairs. I knew he wasn't going to rape me, and a little make out session wasn't a bad idea. I wanted to have fun, and Eric was cute. Last time I kissed a boy was maybe a year and a half ago.
I took a long breath, the alcohol starting to have some effect on me. My four beers were now in my head, making it dizzy. Eric put me down infront of a door, which I huess was his room, and he started kissing my neck and moving up to my cheeks. A trail of kisses made the goosebump grow on my skin as he opened the door and nip on my botthom lip, teasing.
Instantly, I lost all of my drunk state and I froze. My eyes widden at the sight infront of my eyes. Eric felt my body tense up so he looked up at me and we heard a girl scream.
"Shit!" The familiar voice said.
