RACHEL'S POV

When we got back home, l headed to my room, tired because of the surf, the sun and Beau. We ran against the other for a good twenty minutes and we fought in the water until l gave up because l had enough to swallow half of the ocean. He said that it was because he was stronger, of course he was, but l wouldn't gave in. I was very stubborn, just like him.

Gina came in my room and almost had to drag me out of bed, until she told me what was on the table. When she informed me about the lasagna, l got up and ran to the living room. Gina joined us, slightly chuckling at me, her three sons already sitting and eating their plate.

Gina was such a nice person. She was always welcoming people with a warm smile, just like she did with me. Even if she has three sons, which is not easy, she took good care of me, like if l was her own daughter. There was also James and Daniel, who were always here, almost living in Gina's home too.

I looked over at Gina, who was at the end of the table, and saw how beautiful she was. We don't even have to think twice why her sons are so hot! But, l noticed that under her smile, she was hidding an exausted Gina. So, when everyone was done, l stood up, cleaned the table and made my way to the sink.

"What are you doing?" Luke asked me like if l was an alien.

"I am helping your mother!" I started the dishes, cleaning the dirty plates. Gina came in and hugged my shoulders. She kissed my forehead and l closed my eyes under the maternal gesture.

"Thanks, hun!" She said and left us to go take a bath. She deserved it.

I was sitting on my bed, my laptop in front of me when a slight knock at my door made me jump. I recognized the familiar chuckle and saw Jai standing in my doorframe. I made a sign toward my bed so he came in and hesitantly sat on the edge of my bed.

I waited for him to talk but he took a long time before pronouncing a word. There was an awkward silence for a minute, which seemed to go as slowly as an hour. Then, he turned to me, his hazel eyes meeting mine.

"Do you.. hum.. d-do you hav-e..." Why was it so hard to speak..!?

JAI'S POV

Why was it so hard to speak!? My question was stuck in my throat and my hands started to sweat. Rachel was starring at me, confused.

"Do you have feelings for Beau?" I finally said, maybe a little too fast. By the expression on her face, l knew she heard me. Her eyes widden and she openned her mouth like if she wanted to say something but closed it back.

I didn't say anything else, until she spoke first. She broke our eyes contact and couldn't focus her attention on one thing.

"W-why?" Rachel almost whispeared.

Her reaction was kind of weird. I don't know a lot about girls, but it looked like if l just had found out her biggest secret.

"Because, you seemed to like him. Today at the beach, me and the boys were wondering if you had feelings for Beau while you were fighting."

She nodded her head after my explanation but the look in her eyes was undescriptible.

"Beau is like a brother to me so.. lt would just be weird, right?" She turned it into a question, like if she tried to convice herself.

"Yeah, that's what l thought too."

Suddenly, l felt it weird from me to come in her bedroom and ask her this question. What's wrong with me? Why do l care?

I stood up and walked to the door, hoping the conversation would end there, but Rachel's voice stopped me.

"Why did you came to ask me this?"
