"Jem i dont know about this." Thomas mumbled as their car started driving onto the gravel parking lot.

"Whadya mean?" His boyfriend responded, confused as to why anyone wouldn't be excited.

Personally, James couldn't wait. It'd been years since he last went ice skating, and it was one of the one things he was graceful at.

"I...uh....." Thomas said, not wanting to say why he was nervous. Truthfully he didnt even know, something about this just didnt seem right to him.

"Come on, itll be fun." James said, getting out of the car. As soon as he got out the cold nipped at his cheeks, his breath coming out as clouds in the frigid air.

Thomas wanted to say something,  but the words caught in his moyth when he saw how happy his boyfriend seemed.  He had shining eyes, and looked around with rosy cheeks and a wide smile.

Instead of complaining, Thomas simply followed the man. He held James' hand, squeezing it softly as they walked.

"Tommy?" The small man asked, looking up at the other.

"Mhm?" He hummed in response, looking around. It was really beutiful. It had just snowed, and the fresh snowlfakes lookeed beautiful on the surrounding tree limbs and park benches.

"I love you." James chirped, his boyfriend turnung to face him with a smile.

"I love you more, Jems." The virginian remarked, his lips parting in a smile that made James' heart soar.

Thomas loved the way James looked at him, like the only man in the world. It made him feel special, and wanted, and loved by the man he so loved.

Before his boyfriend could make a move, James stood on the tips of his toes, reaching up just high enough to give the man's lips a sweet kiss. His stubble scratched James' face, but oh how he loved the scruffy beard. It was handsome and attractive and made Thomas look irresistable.

Neither said a word, simply enoughing the heat of each others arms for a blissful moment as they took in their favorite parts about the other.

"So you gonna teach me how to skate or we just gon stand here?" Thomas asked sarcastically, making his boyfriend laugh. It was a sweet sound, that was imperfect in all the best ways. It was rare, but very much worth it whenever Thomas heard the sound.

The couple started their walk towards the counter, laughing all the while.

"Two skates please." James said to the man once they get there.

"What size?" He asked emotionlessly.

"9." James responded.

"13." Thomas replied. James, surprised, peered down to see it was true. For some reason he never realised it, even after all the months they've spent together.

He could only think of one thing: you know what they say about big feet.

The thought makes him hold back a laugh, which ultimatly leads to a fit of coughing that shakes his body.

"James! Are you okay??" Thomas said, rushing over to help the man. Altough the back pats weren't exactly helping, James cherished the way the man cared so much.

"Fine." The small man whispered out, his words rapsy after the fit. "Just a sick lil wierdo." He joked, faking a laugh at the phrase he used so often.

"Jems you aint a wierdo. Youre my perfect little man." Thomas purred, hugging the man to his chest. James felt his cheeks heat a bit, despite the cold.

How ever did he get so lucky enough to be with someone like Thomas?

"I love you." He mumbled against the mans chest, his fingers gently grabbing Thomas' shirt.

"Oh, jemmy. I promise you I love you more." Thomas whispered, chuckling lightly.

It was true. Thomas cherished his boyfriend more than anyone, or anything. It was the first time he'd actually fel this way about someone. Sure, he had tons of girlfriends in highschool and college, but nothing could compare to the way he felt about James.

"Thomas. We're hugging instead of skating again." James remarked, making the man chuckle. Just like Thomas, James loved the sound of the other's laugh. Raspy but sweet in a strange uniquely Thomas way.

"True, darlin'." Thomas said, nodding.

"Lets go." James said, pulling his boyfriend to the rink.

Thomas felt himself tense up as they reached the edge  of the rink, his feet refusing to step on.

"Tom? You coming?" James asked, already gliding in the spot next to the entrance. Thomas noded, taking a shaky step onto the ice.

He didnt move, only bending his torso to avoid falling.

James giggled as the man spun around and bent in strange ways.

"Here here." He said, gliding over to grab the mans hand. Thoma dfinally got upright, wobbly but standing.

"First thing...you gotta be less scared to fall. Its a part of the thing, and it dooesnt hurt." James tells the man.

Thomas nods, trying to be brave.

"Second thing. You look like Bambi." James joked, bursting out in that laugh of his.

"Hey!" Thomas said, faking a pout.
"...so mean." He mumbled.

"Aww no. Tommy." James said, cuddling up close to the man, who almost tipped over, his skates gliding dangerously far apart.
