Everyone's eyes darted to me— no, to what I'm wearing as I entered the hall. Almost everyone giggling and murmuring.
"What the hell are you wearing?! Marie you're putting yourself in too much embarrassment!" Jessica scolded me as she saw what I'm wearing.
To hell I care with embarrassment. I am proud of what I'm wearing.
"What? This is a costume party, isn't it?"
"Yes and for goodness sake, this is heroes costume party, Marie! I thought you'd be wearing a wonder woman costume? Ugh, I already put your name in the candidates for the best hero of the night—Oh my God, what I have done," she said and started to panic.
"Jess, this is what I'm pertaining to when I said wonderwoman,"
"Are you kidding me?! That's a janitress' uniform!"
"Definitely. My mother is a janitress. She's my hero. My real-life wonder woman."
