"Mom, are you sure you're okay?"

"Aigoo my son, of course. I'll be okay. Now go before you get late." I nodded and kissed her cheek before bidding my goodbye.

It's been months now since I warmed up in my new life in korea and warmed up with my new found friends here. They have been also visiting my house a lot and we often do study sessions.

I am closer to Lucas in theory since we're men and we are also in the same basketball team in school. Lately, we have been practicing almost every week after class for the upcoming school festival.

Yeri and Koeun were focused in their Performing Arts club since they were tasked to perform a concert in the last day of the festival.

"Hey," I greeted Koeun when I saw her walking in the hallways, "long time no see."

"We see each other every day in class." She retorted and I swear I saw an eyeroll.

"I mean is we haven't been hanging out lately."

"We do study sessions on weekends." Again, with the sassiness. This girl is sassier than Yeri. At least that girl is somehow sweet.

She went inside the classroom and sat on her usual spot. Exams are over, basically, and all we have to do is to prepare for the festival then it will be summer break and then welcome senior year. I smiled as I realized time is passing by faster.

I saw Lucas sleeping on his desk, I placed my bag on my seat and sat beside Koeun for a while until Yeri arrives.

"Why are you so salty, Ms. Eun." I joked as I saw her annoyed face, she hates it when I call her that. It made me want to tease her even more but that would be a bad idea.

"Go away. I'm not in the mood."

"Oh come on, you're always not in the mood. Tell me what's wrong maybe I can help."

"I doubt-" she suddenly stopped, her eyes twinkled a bit and then turned her body to face me. Suddenly she smiled delicately and blinked her eyes. I'm dead.

"Markeu.." she started and my eyes suddenly widen

"What is it now that you want."

She always does this when she asks for favors. Smile sweetly, blink twice and call my name in a cute way.

"Can you perform with us on our concert?"

I turned to face the chalkboard in front of us, "not gonna happen."

She held my arm with both hands and started shaking me.

"Come on, please. Just once. The other sunbaenims can't really come to perform because of their jobs and their college life so we're short on staff."

"How about Lucas?" I asked

"He's already in charge of the techy stuff behind the curtains.

I was in disbelief. Why did they chose Lucas to do the behind the scenes stuff while I was asked to perform.

"We just need someone to perform, dance, sing or act. Whatever you want. We just need another performer to fill in a spot. And that's it."

I sighed, I really don't want to, I glimpsed at her and she was giving me the puppy eyes. This girl really knows how to get what she wants.

"Fine!" I announced and that made her clap her hands
