The Rain Forest

Calling me is the dry wind in which my world has become,

Soggy mulch that covers me in whole...

I lay awake in silence as the rain buries me,

Hoping one day the sun will smile again...

The trees are weeping in silence,

The animals won't even peak...

They just lay in their homes awaiting for June...

Like the earth had it's heart broken,

The crack I can't even see,

Maybe the clouds are hiding its pain from the eyes of the world...

Maybe mother nature is in denial...

Depression covers her blessed gown...

Teardrops covers her iridescent pearls...

Sparkle they may do,

But from time to time,

The orb shows a metallic gray that I can't see through...

And until the earth heals its body,

The rain will falter onto my name,

As the birds hide away in dismay...

The snakes will continue to hunt,

They never rest in times of hunger,

So they may sleep when gluttony has been fulfilled...

Oh, forest can you hear me?

Is my voice loud enough?

Is it slim like a bomb in the ocean?

Can my clouds seep through your winds,

And drown you in my arms,

So I can tell you everything will be alright...
