Two Sides Of The Same Coin

Broken hearted,

Left by dear departed.

Your years are young

But you feel so old.

Your house is haunted

By a cheater and screams that cascaded

On your youthful ears

Your childhood was stained with tears.

I know how you feel

We walk in the same shoes

How do we heal?

Fighting a battle we know we'll lose.

So pop another pill

If it'll make you feel better

And down another bottle

If it'll hide your tears.

And i will sit with you

I will hear your cries

All i ask in return

Is you dry my eyes.

Together we'll exchange our sorrows

And maybe our burdens will become light

We'll paint pictures of hopeful tomorrows

With the blood that we shed tonight.

You'll tell me your story of hurt and deceit

We'll confide in each other, we both believe

We're two sides of the same coin, rusted and cold

Lying inside a gutter, nobody notices we're gone.

So let's pop another pill

It might make us feel better

And down another bottle

It just might hide our tears

And we will sit together

We will hear each other's cries

We are both alone

We'll dry each other's eyes.
