I woke up in my bedroom. I looked around and wondered want happened.
I saw a dark figure in the corner of my bedroom. The lights were off so I couldn't see a face.
"Who the are you?" I asked. No answer.
" What the hell are you doing in my room?" I questioned. No answer.
" Mom!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Then I quickly turned arounf to turn my bedside lamp on. When I turned back around the figure was gone. My breathing quickened. Then my mom walked into the room.
" Honey, are you okay?" She asked.
" I'm fine mom" I answered.
"Are you sure you don't seem fine."
" Mom I'm okay. Just had a wierd day at school."
" Honey do you need anyth-"
"I'm FINE!!!," I yelled. She looked hurt and I instantly felt guilty.
" Mom, I'm sor-" I began.
" No no, I apologize. You said you were fine." I saw the hurt in her eyes my heart pang.
" Mom, it's fi-" I tried.
" You should get some rest." She said and walked out my room. What was wrong with me today. First that pounding headache, then the shadow, and now me blowing up on my own mother. I hadn't even mean't to do that. It was like something else took over, like I wasn't in control.
I sound like some stupid character in a book. Was I going crazy? I need to know what was happening. I immediately called Ryan. Was I stupid for thinking that my gay best friend would know what I was what was happening to me? Maybe. Did I care? Fuck no. I did not care who knew what was going on, as long as I got some answers. I dialed his number. He answered on the first ring.
" Promise?"
"Yeah?"
" I know what's happening to you."
