I hadn't even realized how long we were walking. I should've paid more attention to my surroundings so that, if need be, I could find my way out.
"You don't wanna catch flies, love." I didn't even notice that my mouth was open.
"Don't call me love, dickhead."
He chuckled."Ok, love." I rolled my eyes. I didn't have time for his shit. I had questions and I needed answers. But I would ask them later.
So I just admired the beautiful buliding in front of me. Well... It wasn't exactly beautiful. As a matter of fact, it was ugly and hideous. It looked like an old warehouse. The windows were shattered and destroyed. There was graffiti covering the walls, and dirt and moss was everywhere. But that's why I liked it. It didn't have to look nice to be made into something important.
Now how they made this dump into a secret hideout to store an army was beyond me.
As if reading my thoughts, Jason said:
"It's a cover. We wanted it to look like this on the outside so that it would be inconspicuous. So that it doesn't draw attention."
"Smart."
"Are you impressed?" He asked with a smirk on his face. But little did he know, I was impressed. But I would never let him know that.
"Impressed? Of this dump? As if. If you really wanted to impress me, there would be some high tech layer in there."
He smirked. Uh-Oh.
"Come on inside then. Let me show you around." He said. He still had that stupid smirk on his face.
He pulled the doors open and held them, waiting for me to step inside. He then came in behind me and shut the doors.
My mouth dropped to the floor. This place looked so much better on the inside. I couldn't even describe it. If you watch Shadowhunters, it looked similar to how there institute is set up.
I looked at Jason and he had a gigantic grin on his face. I needed a way to turn down his ego. Then remembering when Ryan said something about a Jason, I figured out the perfect way how. I only hope that my theory is right. Now I was the one grinning.
"Remember when you snuck into my bedroom in the middle of the night, Jason?"
He paled so fast, it was funny. But I had to keep up my serious face, or I would blow my cover.
"H-how did you know about t-that?"
"Ryan." I stated bluntly. I should become an actress.
"I-I needed to know when you were going to have the dream." He said. I felt bad. He was so nervous.
But it was funny, so I kept going.
"I should call the cops and tell them to arre-"
"Promise, stop torturing him." I recognised the voice immediately and turned around so fast, it gave me whiplash.
"Ryan!!!" I yelled, forgetting I was supposed to be angry with him, and ran over to him and jumped into his arms. He almost fell but he steadied himself.
"I missed you too." He said.
Then I got my memory back.
"Put me down!!! How did you not tell me you had, not one but TWO siblings that I knew nothing about?!? AND YOUR NOT GAY?!? Since when?!" I roared, not even caring about the people watching.
"I'm so sorry, Promise. It was a part of my cover. I had to become friends with you and get closer to you. I was supposed to monitor you and-"
"Ryan, just shut up. You are not helping yourself in this situation." So our whole friendship was based on a lie?
"I thought we were best friends," I whispered."No! We are best friends. You didn't let me finish. It started off as a fake friendship, but then I actually started to love you for real." He stated. But I wasn't giving in that easily. I already forgave him, it's hard to stay mad at Ryan for long. But I wasn't telling him that. He had to work for it.
"I'm still not forgiving you." I said bluntly with a fake pout on my face. Then I forced myself to cry. His face showed panic as he tried to figure out what to do. Ryan has never been good with crying so this was entertaining for me.
"I-I'll buy you new clothes and shoes!" He said urgently.
I cried harder.
"I'll watch those stupid movies with you! Like the one with the sinking boat. And the one when the old lady loses her memories." He said eagerly.
I cried even harder.
"I'll buy you all the chocolate and food you want!! Just please stop crying!!"
I stop crying instantly and had a huge grin on my face.
"I'll be looking forward to the shopping spree, the girls night, and the endless supply of food." I said, still grinning.
"You backstabbing animal." He said, but I saw him trying to hide his smile.
Then a crazy person ran up to me and tackled me to the floor.
