*dream*

I woke up on the forest floor.

My mind was foggy and I couldn't remember what happened or how I got here.

"Promise", whispered the loveliest voice I have ever heard. It was soft and velvety.

"Promise, come here", the beautiful voice whispered.

"Who's there", I asked. My throat felt scratchy. As if I hadn't used it in days.

"Promise, I have a job for you to do", the voice said. As the voice came nearer my mind began to clear.

I stood on shaky legs and looked around me. Their were luscious green plants all around me. The moss covered tree leaves were wet with condensation. The bright pink petals on flowers looked soft to the touch. I then saw a bright beam of light coming out of the trees.

"Who's there", I questioned again. There was no answer. The light kept getting closer until I saw the most gorgeous woman in the universe before me.

She had white hair and white eyes. Her skin was amazingly pale. It sounds as though she would be ugly but she was beautiful. The type of beautiful that you would need to see in person to understand.

"Thank you Promise for such kind words, but you might want to close your mouth before you catch flies." I was shocked at what she said, but I immediately shut my mouth.

'Could she read my mind?' was one of the first questions to pop into my head.

"Yes, I can, but we have no time for that conversation today. I only have a little while before you wake up."

I stared at her in shock. What was she talking about? And what did she want from me?

"Your questions will be answered in a second." She stated. So I sat quietly, cleared my mind, and waited for her to begin.

"A long time ago, I got a glimpse of the future from a seer." I immediately thought of Ryan and how be kept the Seer secret from me for so long.

"I assume you already know what a seer is so I won't have to explain that part. But the seer told me of a great evil that would soon come to Earth and that I had to find someone worthy to defeat it , so I found yo-"

"Wait, why can't you defeat this evil?" I interrupted.

"Promise, where are your manners? If you would let me finish the story, you would know."

I felt my face turn a dark shade of red from shame and embarrassment. I felt like I was being scolded by my mother.

"As I was saying, the seer told me I needed to find someone to defeat the evil. So I found the Stones of Fate. There were five stones total. The purple Telekinesis Stone. The power to move things with your mind. The red Speed Stone. This stone gives you physical speed and mental speed. So you can get to places fast and have fast thinking. The green Strength Stone. This stone gives you physical strength and stamina. The blue Flight Stone. This stone gives you the power to fly. It also gives your lungs extra oxygen for when you are flying at a high altitude. And last but certainly not least the black Sight Stone. This stone gives you the power to see anywhere in time."

"So it's like being a seer?" I questioned.

"Not quite. Seers can only see the future. The Sight Stone gives you the power to see the future, past, and present." She replied.

I was amazed. But what did she do with the Stones. That seems like too much power for any one person.

"After I retrieved the stones I crushed them all into separate powders. I then divided them between people on Earth. I decided that these people would need a leader to get rid of the evil so I gave one person all five powers. That one person was you." She stated.

I was scared to death. Actually scared wasn't even a strong enough word for how I was feeling. I don't know if I can do this whole 'save the world from evil, be a leader' type shit.

Then I realized she could read my mind. I looked over at her nervously.

"So I guess you heard all of my thoughts just now?"

"Yes I did but, I believe in you Promise. You can do this. Now, I know you have a lot of questions but it's time for me to go. I have Faith in you." She slowly started to disappear.

"Wait! I didn't get your name!" I called.

"Call me The Teller." She called back. "Oh, and stop cussing so much!" Now she really did sound like my mom.

Then she was gone.
