When we walk into the room, I see four girls. One of them looks to be only two or three years old. She's laying on the bed while an older girl with thick, curly hair is tickling her. She looks to be a year or two older than me.

"Mommy.... Mommy!!! Stop!!" The little girl yells between giggles. She had adorable little dimples and a beautiful smile. But, wait a minute... Did she say mommy? That older girl looks so young.

I couldn't help the look of shock on my face. I wasn't judging her for being an teen mom. Shit, I think teen moms are amazing for starting a life so young, barely giving themselves time to live. That was some brave shit right there.

I gave her props.

Another girl who looked to be about twenty-five-ish was sitting on the other end of the bed laughing at the situation that was happening. She was a beautiful girl with dark chocolate brown skin and no hair. Most girls care too much about there hair to chop it off, but this girl rocked her bald head as if she was making a statement.

The last girl was sitting in the floor in the corner of the room, indian style. She looked to be around the same age as Chase. She also had curly hair and looked just like the girl that was tickling the toddler. She was currently on her phone with a big smile on her face.

Whatever she is doing on that phone is making her really happy.

"Girls! We have a new member of the squad!" Sam yelled with a grin on her face. She carried no evidence of what we just talked about on her face.

She then looked to me as if waiting for me to say something.

"Um... hi," this was so awkward. "I'm, Promise."

"You look so innocent," was the first thing that came out of the bald girl's mouth. "I'm Chloe, by the way." She added.

"Oh, she is not innocent," Sam started. "I just watched her guilt trip Ryan to get what she wanted." I felt the red go from my neck to my ears. I didn't usually get embarrassed easily, but Sam just made me sound like some spoiled brat that vried to get what she wanted.

Now, don't get me wrong, that's exactly what I did, but I'm not always like that.

Then, the curly-haired baby bust out laughing.

"You... trick... Ren," she said between bursts of laughter. She was so adorable, I felt like saying, 'Awwwwww', but I refrained from doing so.

"What's your name, cutie?" I asked her when she was done with her fit of laughter. She then hid behind her mom with a shy smile on her face. She was too cute.

"Her name is Loyalty. She's a little shy around new people. And I'm, Amandla." Her mother says. She sticks her hand out for me to shake. I shake her hand.

"Nice to meet you, Amandla." I say with a smile on my face. These girls were really nice so far. Chloe seemed a rude at first with the whole innocent comment, but I think that's just how she is. She just seemed like a person who would tell you stuff straight up and not sugar coat it.

She was similar to Sam, now that I think about it. But Chloe was less excited about every little thing.

I looked at the girl in the corner to see if She was going to introduce herself, but she was really into that phone. I hope she isn't doing what I think she's doing on that phone.

"That's my younger sister, Haylee. She's texting her new boyfriend, Chase." Amandla commented. She must of saw when I looked at Haylee.

"How many times do I uave to tell you this. He's not my boyfr-"

"Not this again," Sam interrupted. "We have had this argument way too many times. We don't need to have it again. For right now, we need to take Promise down to get her filled in on how everything works and what we do."

"Fine." Haylee and Amandla both said at the same time, with annoyed looks on their faces

They were more alike than they thought.
