Y/n's POV

I decided it was time to get up. After all I wanted to find Frisk. She was the first person to show me kindness in so long. Besides all that, I was hungry. I was in such a hurry to get out of there that I didn't make it to the kitchen to take some food. All I did bring was my clothes. I walked over to my (f/c) bag and got out another shirt like the one I was already wearing and a pair of (s/f/c) jeggings. I only have five outfits and one is torn and dirty... I have to be more careful... With a sigh I turned the light off exiting the room. When I shut the door I heard voices coming from down the hall. Well at least one voice anyways. I could've sworn it was responding to someone else though...I walked towards it thinking it may be Frisk.

"Oh dear I wouldn't think you would be up yet." Said a sweet voice from behind me. I turned to face the source and saw... A goat...person? "How are you feeling Child?"

"I- I'm ok. H-how are you?" I tried to keep my voice as steady as possible. "I'm (Y-y/n)" I introduced myself extending my shaky hand. Why can't I keep myself calm?!

"Oh my poor child you must be so confused and scared! Come, let's get you something to eat." I nodded as she led me the rest of the way down the hall.

"I'm Toriel by the way. And to answer your question from before, I'm doing well, thank you." She smiled down at me.

"Hey Mom, how's it going? Oh! Hey (Y/n)!" Said frisk with a big smile. She seemed to have hidden something as I heard a small clang coming from the sink. Frisk seemed to shake it off so I did too.

"I'm doing fine dear, will you please make sure to get something in this one's belly?" Toriel answered patting my shoulders. "I realized I have some business to take care of."

"For sure! Go on ahead mom. I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart." Toriel kissed Frisk on her forehead and patted me on the head. I couldn't help it but I kind of flinched away... Frisk made sure Toriel was gone completely before turning back to me.

"Hey," she was whispering. "After you're done eating, do you think you can help me? I want to do something for Mom."

"Sure thing, Frisk! It's the least I could do. What are we doing?" Frisk simply smiled and gave me a slice of pie. "What kind is it?" I asked.

"Butterscotch! Mom makes it all the time, it's really good!" I smiled and took a bite. She wasn't lying... Wow...

Time skip brought to you by the eating of Butterscotch pie!

We came back from our little secret field trip and got right to work. Frisk told me that today was Mother's Day! I tensed up when she said that. The holidays were the worst at home... Frisk seemed to notice...

"Hey don't worry, you're safe down here! Mom may not be exactly human but she is the sweetest you'll ever meet." Frisk attempted to reassure me. She's more human than my mother... We made another pie. Only this one was made of snails instead of butterscotch. I may not understand it but Toriel must like them. Toriel was sitting in the living room by the fireplace reading a snail cookbook. So she must like them! Frisk grabbed my hand leading me to the armchair where Toriel resided as my cheeks became warm and tingly again.

"Oh my! What a surprise!"

"Happy Mothers Day, Mom! (Y/n) and I worked together to make you this!" Frisk exclaimed handing Toriel the pie. Toriel had the most heart warming smile on her face. "Oh! and Sans made you this!" Sans? Who's that? These two are the only ones I've met down here... I was broken out of my thoughts by Toriel erupting with laughter.

"Ohohoho! His joke always hit my punny bone!" She continued laughing. Frisk and I chuckled a little at her joke. "Oh my dear! I was so surprised I almost forgot! Here you go sweetie." She handed me...

"My shirt?" I asked astounded. It looked brand new!

""I fixed it up for you! I saw you didn't have much with you so I fixed up what you had. I still have a little work left on the (f/c) pants though." She said.

"I-I... Thank you so much Miss Toriel!" I was hesitant as first but... I trust them! So I hugged Toriel tightly

"You're welcome my child." She said patting my head.
