Y/n's POV

Back in your room in the ruins...

I don't quite know if I'm ready for this... I can't keep it inside I know that! But... Is now the right time? I was pulled out of my train of thought by Frisk lightly squeezing my hand. I didn't realize we were holding hands... I seem to do that a lot huh?  "You want a little alone time?" she asked. When I didn't answer she turned to leave. I grabbed her hand to stop her.

"P-please don't..." I took in a deep breath and let it out. "Please don't leave me alone..." I said softly tugged for her to come back. She gave me a soft smile and sat down beside me. We embraced for a few moments. This feeling... I don't ever want it to end...

"Remember, (Y/n), I am always here for you. And I'll be here when you're ready to talk."

"I... I am ready Frisk. But I want to explain to everyone. I don't want to have to bring it up ever again and I don't want anyone to prod until I tell them. But only you. All of you that I know and has been so kind to me." She nodded and led me down the hall to get Toriel. "Hey umm... Mom I want to talk to you I-if that's ok..." I saw her brighten up when she heard me call her 'Mom' but she also had a little bit of urgency in her body language.

"Why of course my child, what may be the matter?" She asked reaching out.

"No not here." Frisk answered. "She wants to talk to everyone, at once."

"Oh of course dear." She said as she headed into the kitchen. She came out with a pie that smelled just like the first thing I ever ate down here. I inhaled the wonderful aroma and remembered how many people I had met and loved down here. "Shall we take our leave?" She asked extending her hand.

I once again took in a deep breath and slowly let it out. "Yeah... Let's go..." I replied taking her hand and Frisk's. We all headed out the door to meet with Sans and Papyrus...Well, here we go...

At the Skelebros' House...

"Well, we are here. Are you ready?" Frisk asked. I nodded and Toriel knocked on the door. Paps answered with a small gasp as his eye sockets widened.  "Hey Paps!"

"HELLO HUMAN" He said louder than usual. "OR SHALL I SAY HUMANS?"

"Goodness Papyrus! One would think you enjoy using your diaphragm but you don't!" Toriel said before bursting into laughter. You could hear Sans doing the same from the inside of the house. Frisk and I joined in while Papyrus just stood there smiling and shaking his head.

"Well, are ya gonna let 'em in Paps? They'll get chilled to the bone out there." Sans returned Toriel's pun. We all walked in chuckling until I realized what time it was...

"I-uh..."  cleared my throat and waited till everyone was sitting down. Frisk smiled and patted the seat beside her,

"Pat, pat." I smiled back and nodded before joining her on the sofa.

"It's okay kiddo, take your time." Sans said reassuringly.

"I want to apologize for how jumpy I have been towards everyone... And... I want to explain why..." I began to tear up but continued anyway. "It's my old life. The whole reason I am here. My parents were not the kindest people in the world. They treated anyone they deemed worthless like trash and that was basically my friends and I. But to me... They were plain assholes... They would beat me when I walked wrong, when I coughed, when I got sick, and when I cried... They'd beat me harder... It was even worse on holidays... You would think that they would let me off the hook then but..." I shrunk into myself. "Those days... they were the days I wanted to die the most..." Toriel had a look of utter shock on her face, Frisk looked deep in thought yet I knew she was still listening, Papyrus looked sad, and Sans looked tensed up and a little angry. "On my birthday... my dad would make me go with him to his brother's house... he knew what happened there and still took me... He left me there every year... Every fucking year... His brother would abuse me physically too. But he would also abuse me sexually... No matter how much I screamed to God for all the pain to stop it wouldn't... That's why I ran. I ran and ran and when I thought I couldn't anymore I ran harder knowing I'd be in for the worst in my life if they caught me... I found Mt. Ebott... I didn't know about the underground but I thought that I could loose them there. I heard them getting closer when I tripped over and fell down here... And well" I was letting all of my emotions out that I'd kept locked up all these years and it felt great. I took a shuddery breath. "I am so glad I fell because none of you knew me yet... You all showed me kindness that I never knew could exist... Thank you all so much for being there for me!" I sobbed into Frisk's shoulder. Sans got up from the couch and headed outside. On his way out he patted me on the head lightly...

"Pat, pat." Chocked. He looked pissed when he left... I reassured everyone that I felt better after talking. they all hugged me and let me know they cared. I chased Sans outside and found him standing in front of the igloo beside the house with his back turned to the house.

"Are you okay Sans?" I asked.

"The question is... are you? Kiddo you've been through so much pain. No one should have to go through something like that. Let alone a kid..." He turned around and I saw that his left eye was glowing... "So I swear that you'll never have to feel that pain again." He hugged me and I returned the hug. It didn't feel like he was coming onto me like at Grillby's but like he was protecting me. It seemed almost... Fatherly... "I won't let that happen!" I know Sans...

"Thank you Sans..."

A/n So... lots happened huh? But hey! I bet you won't guess what's gonna happen with Sans!!! Okay you probably will XD. The title of this chapter is a lyric to a song, can you guess it?
