A year has passed since the barrier broke. The monsters first encounter with humans in who knows how long didn't go as bad as it could have. The humans were scared at first until Branden and I walked out and held up our hands.
"Hang on." Branden said. "Let's not jump to conclusions here. The monsters aren't here to hurt anyone."
"Please, let us talk this out." I said.
"The monsters have taken hostages!" Someone shouted out.
"Sorry, Frisk." Branden said before he summoned a blaster and holds the horn to aim at the human crowd. "The monsters aren't the ones that's willing to blow you all away here and now." The crowd goes silent. "Now, before we jump to conclusions, how about you hear them out."
Sans placed a skeleton hand on Branden's free arm. "Bud, try not to skewer them on our first meeting."
"Don't tell me that they don't get under your skin." Branden said and I chuckled at his pun. "Suppose I should leave this in the hands of our ambassador though, eh Frisk?"
I nod and walk closer to the crowd. "The monsters want to live in peace with humans. We're willing to work anything out."
That was then, now we live on the outskirts of Ebott City. Branden, Asriel, and myself live with Toriel at a head of our little home area. We sit at a table as Toriel serves us butterscotch-cinnamon pie.
"Thanks, Mom." I say and start to eat.
"Yeah!" Asriel says and digs into his piece of pie.
"You are all quite welcome, my children." Toriel says with a smile on her face. "Oh, Frisk, how did the meeting go last night?"
I shrug. "It's hard to tell sometimes. I do the best I can, but I honestly don't know what I'd do without Asgore or Sans and Papyrus. The politicians get really crazy some times."
"Maybe I should start coming to these meetings and emergency meetings that you get so frequently." Branden says before taking a bite of pie. "They seem to underestimate you a lot."
"I'm a child, of course they underestimate me!" I say.
"Yet you've manage to balance school, your social life, and being the monster's ambassador." Branden says before finishing up his pie while I've barely gotten halfway through mine. "I should go see if Sans and Papyrus are ready to train."
"Please do be careful, my child." Toriel says and smiles at him.
"I always am." Branden says and he's gone.
"Must be nice, teleporting everywhere all the time." Asriel says.
"He doesn't do it all the time." I say. "It's draining on him and Sans."
"It certainly feels like it." Asriel says and pushes his empty plate away. "Are we ready to go to school?"
"Hang on." I say and finish up my food. "Let's go!"
