As Branden teleports away, Sona looks down and walks back towards the crowd as tears roll from her eyes.

"She really forced that on him." I hear Asriel say quietly to me. "I mean their barely older then us, what did she think he would do?"

"She was blinded by her heart to actually think." I say as I sigh. "But it sounds like the wall will be coming down soon."

"Where do you think he went?" Asriel asks and I turn to face Mount Ebott. "Frisk?"

"I have an idea on where he'd be." I say. "But it's just a hunch."

"I have the same feeling, kiddo." Sans says and walks towards us. "Must Be Sans-sational If we have the same idea."

"What about Sona?" I ask him.

"We should let her be." Sans says. "She needs to clear her head, and Branden isn't the most stable of people."

"He seemed stable underground." I tell Sans as we start for the mountain. "What do you mean?"

"He had a goal to focus on." Sans says. "I skeletaught him a lot."

"What was he like before?" Asriel asks while we walk to the start of the path up the mountain.

"He was emotional." Sans says. "He actually summoned his first blaster out of fear."

"Fear of what?" I ask but Sans stays quiet. "Oh."

"He started using those energy balls in defense too, before I finally taught him how to summon bones." Sans says. "Before that though, I had to talk him down from killing Asgore out of rage. That was his first Determination state too."

"Wait, was that the Hotlands incident?" Asriel asks.

"Yeah." Sans says. "He was too, Hot headed." I smile and Asriel shakes his head. "Branden could've accidentally destroyed the entire mountain, and I recognized it before Alphys. He had so much untapped power that it had to be carefully handled. With the loss of his sister, I needed to make sure to keep him from snapping."

"Then I came through." I say as we climb higher up the path. "And I didn't help much, did I?"

"What do you mean, Frisk?" Asriel says and Sans sighs. "You saved us all!"

Sans looks at me. "No, you didn't kid." He sighs. "Branden hasn't told me the kind of trauma he suffered through those runs. All he said was that, eventually he couldn't handle it one day and snapped. That's when he faced you that day."

"He was worse then you." I say as I remember back to our fight. "Just like fighting you and Papyrus at once, and random attacks."

"What are you guys talking about?" Asriel asks.

"Azzy, when my Soul was whole, I had the power to reset the whole timeline." I tell him. "I was so determined to save you I kept resetting, trying to find a way to save you. Eventually I gave up on the Underground as a whole, and lost myself. I fought Sans at the end and Branden I fought twice."

"Twice?" Sans says.

"I killed him the second genocide." I say. "He wasn't ready for our first fight, but I was so intrigued I kept doing genocide until I found him again since he killed me at Lv 20, seven times."

Sans chuckles. "I knew the kid was strong, but I didn't know he had that in him." Sans glances at me. "You know, it probably was worse if you killed him down there, because his sister didn't pass on."

"I didn't care at the time, I just wanted a challenge." I say and look at the ground while we almost reach the top. "God, he gave me that and more by preparing himself for another encounter with me." We reach the top where the barrier once kept all monsters in the Underground. "He's probably here then?"

"If I had to guess, he's in Alphys old lab training with the left over bots." Sans says.

We hear the faint sound of blasters and explosions in the distance. "He must be in there!"

"You can't just force yourself, Branden!" Chara snaps at me.

"Shut up!" I shout and hold my hand towards her, launching a blaster at her ghostly body. It phases through her and she just glares at me. "I have to get stronger!"

"Why?!" She snaps again. "You're so focused on getting stronger, but you won't say why!"

"Because I'm barely strong enough to protect everyone now! I could barely stop The Apprentice from destroying us now, and there are stronger people out there!" I snap. "If I don't do anything, everyone will die!"

"Branden, I'm sure that you're just overreacting." Chara says. "But let's say you're right. You can't always be training, your body can't handle it."

"I can't just do nothing!" I shout at her then raise my hand as nothing but bones shoot up from the ground all around me.

I wait for them to disappear as she tries to get my attention again. "Branden, you can't just do it all on your own."

"I have to." I say, then see Chara snap her head towards the exit of the mountain. "What is it?"

"Frisk is here, both pieces of her Soul, so Asriel is here too." Chara says. "I should go before they see me and get the wrong idea."

"Go." I say as I summon more blasters and blast at the wall as strong as I can, but can't even make a dent to it. I shake my head before three people walk into the room with me. "What?"

"You disappeared, we wanted to make sure you were alright." Frisk says.

"I'm fine." I say and blast the wall again. "Now leave me alone."

"You're trying to get stronger, ain't ya buddy?" Sans asks, but I keep trying to destroy the wall. That's when I hear his Gaster blaster charge up. I turn and block the attack with a blaster of my own, but only barely. "You won't do it alone."

"Yeah!" Asriel says. "We'll be by your side!"

"Until the end." Frisk says and draws her sword and shield.

I go through each of them and prepare to fight with a energy ball in hand as I see Asriel grow into his God of Hyperdeath form. "Fine." I concede. "If you want to help, then let's get stronger!"
