Sans and Papyrus are already waiting for me in their home, as Sans puts on his blue jacket and Papyrus wears his "old" battle body. I smile as Sans comes up to me and reaches his hand out.
"Hey, Sans." I say then shake his hand, only to hear a whoopee cushion. "Oh god no."
He chuckles. "The old whoopee cushion on the hand trick, gets 'em every single time."
I smile and shake my head. "That's a real 'rib tickler' Sans."
"Branden!" Papyrus yells. "It's a bit early for the puns!"
"Sorry, Pap, guess that one didn't touch your 'funny bone.'" I say and Sans dies of laughter. "So, are we going to train?"
"Sure, but I have to find something first." Sans says.
"What?" I ask curiously.
"Updog."
"What is up dog?" Papyrus says and I start laughing hard, not just because the tall skeleton said it, but because I was just about to say it too. Papyrus also realizes what he said and stands there frozen in anger, both at Sans and himself.
"Oh god, thanks Pap." I say and pat his shoulder. "Because I was just about to say it too. Sans would have had a real 'howl' then."
"No need to have such a 'ruff' time, Papyrus." Sans says.
"Enough!" Papyrus yells. "To the training field!"
"I guess we have to be a-pup-riate now." Sans says. "Otherwise we'll be hounded by Undyne."
"Oh, yeah." I say and turn to go out the front door of the skele-bros home. "Her bite is worse then her bark."
After a quick walk up the road from their home, we find Undyne waiting in an open field with a blue spear in her hand. Her blue fishy face smiles, showing off her sharp teeth, and says. "Took you punks long enough!" I smile at the former captain of the Royal Guard, as she gets ready to start training immediately, Papyrus cuts her off. "What are you doing, Pap?"
"We haven't even gotten the training set up yet!" He says. "Or what our goal even is!"
"Oh, right." Undyne says and the spear disappears. "I got a little carried away, sorry Pap."
"It's alright, you are already forgiven, Undyne." Papyrus says with a bright smile. "Now, what kind of training are we doing today?"
"Three on one, capture the flag?" I suggest.
"We always do capture the flag." Undyne says.
My phone starts to go off in my pocket. I reach down into my front left short pocket and pull out my phone to see Mom, Toriel, calling me. "You guys decide, Mom's giving me a call." I say and answer the phone while slowly walking away to hear better. "Hey, mom, what's up?"
"My child, I forgot to ask if you could go into the city and grab a few things from the store for me." She says. "I can text you everything that I need, but I kinda need them now."
"Right now?" I ask.
"Yes, right now." Toriel says. "I apologize, my child. I forgot about it when you were here."
I sigh. "No, it's okay. Just send me a list of what you need, and I can grocery them."
Toriel laughs at my awful pun and takes a second to get her breath again. "Thank you, my child."
That's when we hang up and I turn back to Sans, Papyrus, and Undyne. "So, I have to run into the city and get some things for Mom."
"You mean you're scared to go against me, right punk?" Undyne says and I smile. "What?"
