During lunch, we hear a few of the older kids talk about a special class they got to experience. Asriel and I look at each other before the two bigger kids come over and start to pick on me again. This time it doesn't last long as I see flame bullets hit them and cause them to get away and even leave the lunch room. I turn and see a girl standing there and shakes her head before coming over to me.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Yeah, they aren't so bad all the time." I say. "You seem familiar."
"Oh, Mrs. Toriel taught me my flame magic, remember? I sparred with you and Asriel." She says. "My name is Somer."
"I remember that!" Asriel says. "You were impressed with my Chaos sabers!"
Somer giggles a bit. "Yes, that's right." She smiles and says. "So, did you hear who taught the older kids today?" Asriel and I shake our heads. "Toriel and Branden came in to show us a little bit of magic."
"Mom got to be a teacher?!" Asriel asks.
"Yeah, she showed us all flame magic and a little healing too, but she brought in your brother. That was the interesting part." Somer says and shivers a little. "Do either of you know why he'd freak out to the sign of a small knife?" As she finishes her sentence, I shrink uncomfortably as Asriel shakes his head. "Frisk?"
"It's a long story." I say and look down while grabbing my pants tightly.
"So you do know." Asriel says. "Is it because of something when we were Underground?" I nod slowly. "Do I know what it is?"
"Probably." I say and get up. "I'm not too hungry." But before I can leave, I'm pushed back into my seat and I look as Branden moves to sit in front of Somer. "Branden?"
"Sup?" He says as he looks at us. "Did you tell them about the lesson?" He asks Somer who shrugs.
"Kinda?" She answers. "Just that you and your mom taught us."
"She triggered me and I summoned three blasters." Branden says to me. "Even so, the school board is going to give her a chance to actually teach here next year." He smiles and says. "I think the course is called Magic in everyday life?"
"Mom's aloud to teach in school now?!" Asriel asks joyfully. "That's awesome!"
"You three are the ones who gave her this chance." Branden says. "I almost ruined it."
"Actually, I think it was our incident that proved that magic courses would help us in our daily lives." Somer says. "Plus, I think making the whole class fly for a few minutes made everyone excited."
Branden chuckles. "Guess so, but I think Mettaton will be excited."
"This will be an opening for him to start working on his show again." Asriel says.
"I'll have to make sure that everything is accepted first in the embassy." I say. "But this all seems promising."
"You have to go there after school today, don't you?" Branden asks.
"Yeah, at least the major paperwork is done by Asgore, I just have to go for meetings and all physical things." I say. "Which is kinda nice."
"Wait, why are you going to the embassy?" Somer asks.
"Frisk is the Monster's ambassador." Asriel says.
"So you have school then embassy work?" Somer asks. "How do you keep it all together?"
"By realizing that it's a bunch of old men arguing like their all nine years old over the same topics everyday." I say. "It's not as hard as it looks."
Branden sighs. "I don't know why they thought making a twelve year old an ambassador was a good idea, but Asgore isn't the brightest at times."
"It was either me or Papyrus, which do you think would've been better?" I ask him.
"Fair point." Branden says and looks at his phone. "Alright, I need to get back. I have to show someone around the Monster village."
"You're leaving?" Somer says. "I thought you were teaching all day?"
"No, I was just helping Mom relax a little." Branden says. "Sans is going to stay and take my place for the rest of the day." He sends a quick text and then smiles. "See you at home." Then teleports away.
"How does he do that?" Somer asks.
Asriel and I look at each other with a sly grin on our faces before turning to her. "Maaaaaagic." We both day and start dying of laughter.
