The room is destroyed, holes everywhere and scorch marks on what's not blown up. Sans doesn't seem too phased, even if he is sweating from head to toe....somehow. Asriel shrinks down again and Frisk is laying on her back, as we all dig deep to try and breath.

"We've been training for hours." Asriel says. "I don't know if I can stay in that form any longer."

"I don't know how long I'll be able to stand on my own." Frisk says.

"Branden, you must be tuna-fied because you're training is harder then Undyne's." Sans says.

"No more puns!" Asriel shouts between breaths.

"Don't let Undyne hear you say that, Sans." I say, as I lean on a wall, breathing just as heavy as everyone else. "She'll start having me lead the training sessions."

"We should head back." Frisk says. "Mom must be worried sick."

"You guys go ahead, I'll ketchup." I say and get a laugh out of Sans and Frisk.

"Don't stay too late." Sans says. "Tori would grill me if you didn't come home soon."

"I'll be back soon, just want to take one more look around." I say and they nod. Sans takes both of them and disappears. I sigh. "Come out, Chara." The ghostly form walks towards me and I turn to her. "You know a bit about fighting right?"

"What gives you that impression?" She asks me, one hand on her hip and the other held sassily towards me.

"You did kill everyone in the Underground at least once." I respond and fold my arms over my chest. "Sans and Asgore included."

"And you." She adds and I summon a Gaster blaster. "Intimidating, but I'm a ghost, Branden."

"Just answer the question!" I snap.

"Yes, what about it?" She asks, throwing her arms in the air to let them fall back down to her sides.

"I'm going to come back here as much as I can, and I want you to kinda train me." I say. "If I want any hope of getting stronger, I can't go through my normal means, I have to do more intense training. Who knows what those Wizards will send next."

"What's in it for me?" Chara asks.

"You won't be alone in this place for a while." I respond quicker then I mean to.

"Well, don't sugar coat it or anything." Chara says and folds her arms over her chest and starts to pout. "Fine, but I also want to be updated on how everyone's doing out there. Since you separated me from Frisk, I haven't been able to leave the Underground."

"Deal." I say and smile at her. "Maybe I can help you get rid of that black stuff on you."

"Black stuff?" Chara asks and looks down to see something black on her ghostly soul. Her Soul is a red outline of a heart, but the middle is filled with black. "Oh, that's Frisk's Hate she put on me. It's why I started to resent everyone and went on a genocide path."

"Hate huh? I wonder." I hold out my left hand and sure enough, I pull the Soul from Chara's ghostly body. "It feels slimy, let me take it off your Soul."

"Wait!" Chara says as I go to grab the black gunk. "What if that's the only reason I'm still around?"

I stop and think on it, before reaching for the black stuff anyways. "Chara." I look at her as I take a firm hold of the black gunk. "You should be at rest, not stuck here in a hell you can't escape from." I tear the black stuff off and surprisingly the Soul stays together. I throw it back to Chara as I toss the black stuff away and throw an energy ball at it to destroy it. "At least that's that."

Then the black gunk comes back. "Or not." Chara says. "That's not good."

"Yeah, kinda figured that out already!" I snap then look around the room. "Alphys should have vials or something to hold it in right?"

"How would I know?" Chara asks in shock.

"You spend your whole time down here!" I snap on her. "You should know if she has something to contain this thing with!"

"Well it wouldn't be in here!" She snaps back. "Meet you in the lab!" And with that Chara disappears.

"Damn it Chara!" I yell and see the black stuff crawling towards me. "Great, you can move on your own too." Suddenly it jumps at me and I teleport towards the stairs and away from the thing. "Close, but you'll have to try harder then that to get me." I say then run up the stairs, already out of breath from using the teleport ability after such an intense spar with everyone earlier. When I get into the lab, I see a large vial and don't hesitate to grab it and turn to see the black stuff coming towards me quickly. "I have to be careful now." That's when it jumps, I spin and it hits the vial and I catch it all inside before I grab a cork and plug the whole. "God that thing's just creepy."

"Well, if it's any consolation, thanks for getting it off me." Chara says as she appears beside me. "But what are you going to do with it now?"

"Drop it in the lava of Hotlands." I say and teleport away to the warm area. Chara isn't to far behind as I hold the vial over the lava and drop the entire thing in. "That's that." But I notice that a little has gotten on my hand, but I hide it from Chara in my sweatshirt. "I'll be back tomorrow then."

"Tomorrow it is then." Chara says. "Guess I'll just have to wait."

I smile then teleport to the exit and walk out. That's when I look at my hand and see the black stuff on it. As I look at it, my Soul appears and the black stuff go for it immediately. I pull my Soul away quickly and blast the black goo with a blaster quickly and for a while, before turning to leave. "Whatever that was, it's better now that it's gone." I teleport to the village and smile as I walk into my home. As I walk through town though, I noticed plenty of humans and monsters talking before I walk inside.

"Oh no!" I hear Frisk shout. I walk to her and see Asriel, Toriel, and Frisk huddles around a tv.

"What is it?" I ask.

"The City has formed the AMD, Anti-Monster Department." Asriel says.

"They want to force us back Underground, even though we helped protect Ebott City." Toriel says.

"And I know the woman in charge of the whole thing." Frisk finishes. "Miss Grey, a woman who has despised Monsterkind since we came to the surface."

"Until a few hours ago, that was just about all but two people, Buddy." I say.

"She was suggesting violent actions though." Frisk says turning to me. "Gun point, bombing, you name it."

"When's your next meeting, Frisk?" I ask.

"In a few hours, why?" She asks me, looking incredibly cautious.

"I'll join you for this one, how's that sound?" I say. "Mostly because I want to meet this Miss Grey, and also because I feel like I should talk about what happened from my perspective against the Apprentice." I put my hands in my pockets and shrug. "Who knows, maybe I get bonus points for taking him out."

"Are you sure you want to come?" Frisk asks.

I nod. "Yeah, I'm sure." I sigh. "Gonna be a long night."
