Ellie's POV

Mom called earlier. She said she will be going home today. Surprisingly, Lana got used with Mom. We shop together when she's home. We started to really look like a family. Dad still took months to come home.

I told Mom about Sam. Luckily, she didn't mind me dating at all. She said, I'm already old enough to take responsibilities for my actions. As long as it doesn't tarnish the family name or he doesn't hurt me in anyway, she is totally fine with it.

While on the shower, dad called. Lana answered it for me. He said, he will be home for their anniversary. That would be on weekends next week. It will be busy again for preparations. I bet it will be a formal ball. I think it's time to introduce him to my father.

At school, before the last period ended, I pulled Sam's shirt to get his attention to me.

"What's wrong?" He said.

"Nothing. I was just wondering, would you like to come this weekend to my parent's anniversary party?" I told him.

"Would that be OK with your folks?"

"Yeah. I mean, Mom don't mind. But I really want you to meet my Dad."

"Will that make you happy?" He asked.

I nodded and he smiled. "Is that a yes?"

"Yes, it is a Yes!"

I pulled him to a hug. I swear, he is the sweetest guy I ever met.

Time passed and weekends came so fast. Dad arrived yesterday night. Everything was set up. Invitations, food, the venue. All we did was to dress up and wait for our dates. I asked Lana who she invited for the ball. She said she asked Nate to be her date. It's because Nate is the son of one of Dad's friends so obviously he is also going to the ball. I just hope he don't bring his harem with him.

My date is already at the doorsteps. He is wearing black tuxedo accentuated with red linings and red bow tie. He looks cute eitherway. He also brought a bouquet of red flowers with him.

"Hey, handsome!"

"Hey, Princess! You look lovely tonight."

I blushed at those words. He never fail to flatter me in anyway. He gave me the flower. I wrapped my arms around his arms and we started walking to the pool area where most of the guests gathered. Few minutes passed and the party started. Food were served and after other people finished eating, they gathered around the dance floor and started dancing. Dad and Mom are finally alone on their table. I dragged Sam towards the table and introduced him. Dad shook his hands. I was so surprised that it turned out just fine.

"May I have this dance with you, M'lady?" He asked.

I happily took his hands and danced with him. He pulled me close to him with my head resting in his chest.

"I love you!" He whispered.

"I love you, too."

We danced for a while when one of my dad's staff walked towards us and asked if he can borrow Sam for a moment.

"You don't plan on stealing him, do you?" I said sarcastically and laughed.

"I will be fine. I'll be back." He assured me.

After they left, I came cross some guests and greet them. I saw Lana on the other side.

"Where's your date?" I asked.

She kept silent and point to the pair dancing on the corner. They were so close and they are more like grinding each other.

"What do you expect with him?"

"I didn't expect any. Well good for you, you have a decent guy with you." she said. "Where is he anyway?"

"I think Dad wanna speak with him."

Me and my sister talked for a while and after a while, Sam came back. His usual smile looked forced now after he came back.

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked him.

"Yeah." He said. Obviously he isn't.

"What did Dad tell you?"

"Uh," He said then he wiped off his sweat on this forehead. "He showed me his car collection."

I gave him a raised eye brow.

"They are really flashy."

"Dad likes showing them off." I said. "Sorry if you got intimidated. Dad always do that. Why don't we dance some more?" He happily obliged and we danced til almost midnight.

The scene looks like Cinderella when the midnight bell strikes. "I have to go."

"You take care, alright?"

"I will not let my princess be in dispair so I will."

"Shut up with cheesy lines." I told him. "Goodnight!" I said and waved one last time after I blew a kiss in the air.

"You sure are lucky, you know." Said my sister who is spying on me from behind.

"I don't normally agree with you, but I wont argue with that statement."

"Dad prolly don't agree with him." She said.

"You shouldn't be like that."

"I'm telling you, I can tell."
