Chapter 17

Jungkook and Lisa walked into the gym for a pep rally. Their school had one every month just to keep their students interest, although it didn't work. It was normally run by student council, like this time. They both sat down in the front row, Lisa whispering to Jungkook that Siwon was just up a few bleachers, making him blush.

Jungkook and Siwon had been texting for a week and had plans of meeting up for dinner tomorrow night, although that didn't stop the talking whatsoever. They had been getting close and Jungkook felt like he had a shot at having an actual relationship. There was only one problem.

Siwon had made it clear he didn't want a relationship if they had to hide, meaning Jungkook would have to come out soon or they would keep postponing becoming official, which Jungkook thought was fair. He had been thinking of ways to do this and concluded that when he was meant to, he would know, and it would happen.

So, here they sat as the pep rally started. Jungkook chose to ignore the fact Taehyung and Jenny were only sitting a few seats down from them and tried to actually enjoy the pep rally. The pep rally soon began, and the student council members began talking about things around the school. Everything was fine until they started talk about a subject they really shouldn't have: Gay people.

"We can all agree we're happy there are hardly any fags at our school", The student council president, Younggukk, said," They're no one important anyways, so they're really have no point in being here anyway"

"Ignore it Kookie", Lisa whispered, to which Jungkook nodded.

"I mean, gays are pretty pathetic anyway. Like, you can't get a girl to sleep with you, so you just go to another desperate guy, come on", Younggukk laughed," And that's just for tops, don't get me started about bottoms"

Yeah, Jungkook was done hearing this. His brain told him one thing: this was his opportunity to come out. Do it now.

So he did.

Jungkook stood up and walked over to the microphone, grabbing it from Younggukks hands. He sent him a glare.

"You know, it's funny you talk down on gay people, especially bottoms, and say they're no one important in this school. Who do you deem as important? Do you find the captains of the football team to be important?", Jungkook asked. Younggukk nodded and leaned in by the microphone.

"Yeah, duh", he half scoffed.

"Ah, so there is an important gay at your school", Jungkook said, making everyone look confused," You heard me right. I'm gay"

The room went silent. Siwon smiled, Lisa silently squealed and wanted to clap, and Taehyung and Jenny looked shocked as the rest of the people in the room.

"Not only am I gay, I'm a bottom too. Probably the most bottom gay you'll ever meet here", Jungkook chuckled into the microphone before lowering his voice and glaring at Younggukk," So, if you wanna say some more dumbass shit about gay people, I won't hesitate to kick your ass after this pep rally"

Younggukk nodded and Jungkook went and sat down, motioning him to continue. The room was silent as Younggukk took the microphone again. He cleared his throat.

"I think that wraps up our pep rally", he said softly before people started leaving. Jungkook stood up and walked proudly with Lisa out, Siwon jogging over to join them.

"I'm very proud of you Jungkook", he smiled.

"Thank you. It was the right time to do it", Jungkook smiled back. Siwon leaned down and pecked Jungkook's cheek, making the younger giggle and Lisa squeal.

"You two are pretty cute together, I hope you two make it official soon!", she said.

"I do too", Siwon and Jungkook said at the same time, making them smile wider.

"I wish I didn't have to go to football practice tomorrow before we go to dinner", Jungkook groaned," Honestly, I'm kind of over it completely. It was fun for a while, but I don't have the competitive drive for it anymore"

"What do you have the competitive drive for then?", Lisa asked.

"Art. I wanna do art", Jungkook smiled," I'll tell Taehyung tomorrow that I'm dropping football and I'll do art"

"You seem excited", Lisa giggled.

"I am, I've wanted to do art for a long time, but couldn't manage both art and football", Jungkook said.

"I'm actually in the art club classes as well", Siwon smiled," We can see each other more than"

"That sounds great", Jungkook giggled.

"I normally work in my dorm, but I could work at the actual studio if you're gonna be there", Siwon said, wrapping and arm around Jungkook's waist.

"Good, now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get signed up", Jungkook said proudly as we skipped off to the office.

Today was the day with Jungkook's big date. It was also the day he was dropping football and he was nervous, mostly because it meant he would have to talk to Taehyung. Jungkook walked onto the football field in a nice dress shirt, pants, and shoes. He walked over to Taehyung, who was in his gym clothes and setting up cones.

"You look pretty fancy for football practice", Taehyung observed," Did you come to make up?"

"No, I came to tell you the position of Capitan is all yours. I'm dropping football", Jungkook said.

"What? Are you serious? Why the hell are you dropping it, it's been our dream since we were five", Taehyung asked in shock, standing up straight now.

"It was your dream, I just went along with it and became invested. But now, I don't have the competitive drive for it anymore", Jungkook shrugged.

"Is it that or any you dropping it because you don't wanna talk to me", Taehyung scoffed.

"Listen asshat, I wouldn't throw away an important thing to me because I 'don't feel like seeing you'. Get that through your head. I've wanted to do art, I always told you that. So, I'm dropping it for art instead", Jungkook said, his voice low and warning.

"I'm not letting you drop this now. I need a better explanation", Taehyung huffed.

"Too bad, I have places to be", Jungkook scoffed.

"Oh really? Like where?", Taehyung asked, crossing his arms.

"I have a date", Jungkook said. Those four words shattered Taehyung's heart.

"What?", he asked softly," Why?"

"Because you didn't want to be with me and I met someone who does. I wanna be with him too", Jungkook stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. He walked closer to Taehyung and leaned in close," So, just remember, you chose Jenny. I can see it in your eyes you know you made the wrong choice. So, have fun fucking the same, loose, boring pussy you don't care about while you're pretending it's me. I'm sure it's just as good as the real thing since I would never be anything more than a fuckbuddy"

With that, Jungkook walked away and off the field. As soon as he was out of sight, Taehyung let a few tears fall because he had made the wrong choice. He had freaked out when Jungkook told him he wanted to be with him, even though, deep down, that's what he wanted more than anything.

In fact, when he went to Jungkook's dorm after, it was to tell him he wanted to be with him.

To tell him he was in love with him.
