The lights burn my eyes as I finally exit the school, I was going to hang out with one of my friends today her name was Emma we’ve been friends ever since third grade when she threw a snowball at me. I still remember that day as if it were yesterday, I was going down the slide with a couple of my friends and we were playing this one game where you would press a button and you would transform into a different person, I was a really weird kid. But as I was reaching the bottom of the slide all I heard was a girl yelling at me to watch out and as I looked up there was Emma with the snowball ready to hit me, and before I can even take cover the snowball hit me like a bullet from a gun.
“Are you kidding me!” I shout as I turn the corner to take the road to my house, I just got the notification that the grades came in today for my english class
“What?” Emma said as she turn the corner right after me, she was always slower than me I didn’t understand why because she was in track but she always rounded the corner, a minute after me so I would just be talking to myself
“I got a C on my test in english” I say sighing
    “The argument essay?” she questioned
“Yes, the one where I was trying to argue that dolphins are better than whales” she  sighed and looked at me
“Let me guess dolphins are better because they’re prettier?” I stopped walking
“How do you know?” I said
“You made the same one in fifth grade” I sighed and started to walk again, not my fault I couldn’t find out a topic to talk about I didn’t know any good ones to even argue about most people were arguing that dogs are better than cats or love is more suicidal than you think, I wanted to stick to something more smaller like how dolphins are way better than whales.
As I finally reached my house, I waved at Emma and told her to give me five minutes to put my stuff down because no way am I going somewhere with a backpack on. I saw my mom putting things away when I stepped in and she waved at me, I gave her a little smile in return and headed to my room. Something in my body was telling me not to go to my room like a strange gut feeling but once I entered it nothing seemed wrong it was the same room, everything was the way I left it. Once I put down my backpack I went back downstairs and told my mom I was hanging out with Emma she nodded and told me to come back before dawn.
“Hey, did you know that Ethan likes you?” Emma said to me as we neared the cafe that we always go to, to eat something
“You mean Ethan Zahlet?” I say as we entered the small shop
“Duh, he made this whole post on Snapchat about how bad he wanted a girl that was just like you...well he didn’t say your name but the description matched a whole lot” Emma replied as we took a seat
“What if he was talking about Isabella? She looks like me”
    “Isabella looks nothing like you”
“That's what you say but everyone in school thinks thats shes my sister or something”
“Oh please the only sister you’ve ever have is me” I sighed and looked down right as the waiter came over
“What can I get you girls? Today's special is the apple pie” I looked at Emma and she nodded
“I’ll have a slice of that, and I would like a cheese sub” she also talked with her head as if all the words she said she had to move her head with it so it can be more rememberable
“I’ll just have a tea with lemon, and a piece of your cheese cake” I said as I looked over the menu even though I’ve been here over a million of times. There has always been this one thing that always caught my attention when I was here, it was how exotic it looked as if it weren’t supposed to be here. It looked as if it were supposed to be in something you’ll see in movies, from the light blue walls to the mirrors that were outlines with gold everything about it was beautiful. The thing I loved most about the place was the sense of warmness, it was my second home when I had nowhere to go. The only thing bad about it was the fact that I had to leave before six or else my mom will get mad at me, she doesn’t like when I go out to late or else she starts to worry. She's always been a over thinker and the least I could do was to make her worry less. After a while the waiter came with our foods and it smelled delicious, I’ve never had the cheesecake before I usually get the tea here but today I wanted to try something different.
“Guess what also” Emma asked as she ate the first bite of her apple pie
“What?” I questioned looking up
“theres also a second guy that likes you!You know that guy, what's his name” she looks trying to catch her thoughts before looking back up
“Mason!?” she shouts his name and then looks around and clasps her mouth when she found out that she shouted out his name
“Mason who?” I questioned as I took my first bite of the cheesecake that was very delicious
“Mason the guy who always talks to Kai”
“Yeah what about him?”
“I think he likes you” I almost choke and look her in eyes
“You mean jock boy? The one with the brown hair, the one that everyone says is weird?” I questioned
“First of all yes, he plays soccer, he is the guy with the brown hair, and no his isn’t weird don’t be mean. And plus if your not going to like Ethan might as well like Mason” I rolled my eyes and looked out the window and stopped talking when I saw someone with a dark hood on
“Do you see that?” I asked Emma, not taking my eyes off the person. It was standing there not doing anything, it seemed as if it were a statue.
“See what,” Emma asked as she followed my eyes and stopped,
“I don’t see anything” I didn’t want to take my off of the thing but I was beginning to believe that I was going crazy
“He's right there, he’s standing right next to that stop sign” I saw Emma from the corner of my eye move forward to the window and scanned the street
“Apollo, I swear I don’t see anything. You’re starting to scare me” finally the hooded thing turned its head and locked eyes with me and just for a moment, just a moment. My body felt bliss and then everything turned dark.
