being an introvert sucks, doesn't it? we always hate to interact with new people and are being jealous of our friends, that thrive in social interactions and events. we want to change, but can't. why? because of different reasons, mainly either insecurity/timidity (can be considered related). if there are other reasons you know of, please do tell me!
we fear of losing a friend we haven't even made yet. we fear of being judged of our sense of humour. we are too shy to talk to someone. people in the room are uninteresting in our eyes.
there are a lot of reasons that perfectly explain why we are introverts. once we find the reason, we either embrace it or get rid of it.
is embracing our insecurities the answer, or getting rid of them? the answer is subjective, depends on what we want. if we find comfort in this lifestyle, that's fine, and if we don't, that's fine too. you have to think before rushing to make a decision.
now, how can we change ourselves? how can we get rid of this timid nature we have, of our insecurities, of our socially awkwardness?
we can't, at least that's what i think. It's a part of us, but we can conceal or try to by doing certain things we are afraid of doing. but, remember, you should take baby steps.
open your chat and talk with your close friend. an old friend you haven't talked to for so long. invite that very friend somewhere you're comfortable, for example your house, a quiet café with an intimate feeling, or a place bustling with life. do it now. why not now? why miss such an opportunity of speaking to someone you know and care for?
what if you don't have any friends? that's okay. don't worry. take your dog out for a walk. take a book and go in the park, somewhere with people, to find comfort in the voices of strangers while doing something you enjoy. write in your diary or a book about your life and unique experiences at school. never be afraid of talking with your peers, chat with them. ask them anything. be friendly. do it.
life is short, why not enjoy it now?
