"Hanging on another day. Just to see what you'll throw my way. And I'm still hanging on to the words you say. You said that I will, will be okay." - Lifehouse

They walked through the doors of their home and Christina went straight up to the attic. 'I'll put some coffee on.' Katherine said as she watched her go. Lisa joined her, whilst Amy followed Christina up the stairs. Lauren and Dani went into the kitchen as well, not sure who to go after. 'Christina.' Amy said, following closely as her oldest sister took the book from it's stand and sat on the couch with it.
'What?' Christina asked, not taking her eyes from the book as she flipped through it.
'You know what.' Amy said. 'Put your walls down please.' Christina sighed and did as she was told. Amy immediately got a read on her and stumbled backwards.
'Jesus!' Amy looked at her. 'Where is that pain coming from, your back?'
'Uh-huh.' Christina agreed. Amy stood on the couch and sat behind her sister, running a warm light over her back. After a moment they both felt the pain subside. 'Thanks.' Christina smiled, but Amy looked at her suspiciously.
'What else can I feel?' She asked, not entirely sure. Christina quickly put her walls back up and the feeling was gone.
'It's nothing.' Christina assured her.
'It's not nothing if you're hiding it from me.' Amy said. She sat at Christina's side whilst she flipped through the book some more. 'You can talk to me.'
'I know I can Aimes.' Christina said. 'But it's not your problem.'
'Chris, we're not kids any more.' Amy reminded her. 'You might have had to do it all yourself when we were growing up but you don't need to do it alone any more. Don't you trust us?' Christina sighed and looked at her.
'Of course I do.' Christina told her. 'It's not about trust.'
'What's it about then?' Amy asked.
'It's about burdening you with things you don't need to be burdened with.'
'Maybe we want to be burdened. Maybe that's what sisters are for.' Amy said. 'I know you have nightmares Chris. I used to feel them all the time when you lived here. Just because you moved out doesn't mean they went away, or that I forgot about them.'
'Why didn't you say anything before?' Christina asked.
'I thought you'd come to me when you were ready.' Amy admitted. 'Seems like that's not the case.'
'I'm sorry Aimes. It's just hard to talk about.'
'You don't like talking. I got that.' Amy smiled. 'What's the most common thing you dream about?' Christina thought.
'Probably Belial. He was what started it all.' Christina admitted.
'You know he can't really hurt you any more.' Amy said.
'Sometimes it's not me he's hurting.' Christina said. 'Sometimes he makes me watch as he hurts you guys, and I can't handle it. If anything ever happened to you guys I think I would die.'
'He can't hurt us either Chris, we vanquished him over a year ago.'
'I know that Aimes. Doesn't make me any less scared.' Christina said. 'What about the next demon? Especially now I don't have my main power, what use am I really?'
'Your power is not all of you Christina.' Amy told her. 'Loosing it doesn't change who you are. I know you're still going to charge into fights with no regard for your own safety if it means protecting us.' Amy knocked her on the shoulder. 'That gives me nightmares.'
