"Seems life gave you an unfair deal. Kept you trapped inside a battlefield. Left with wounds that still haven't healed. And walls you can't push through." - Rachel Potter

Twelve hours later Christina still hadn't woken up. It was early afternoon the next day and they were all gathered in her room. Lisa was pacing, Katherine was sitting on the end of the bed and Amy was perched on the stool of the dressing table. Lauren and Dani flanked their eldest sister on the bed. 'How much longer do we wait before we start to panic?' Dani wondered.
'She's been out for longer than this before.' Amy reminded her.
'Yeah but she's never had a demon stick his gross fingers in her chest. We don't even know what he did. He could have put her in a coma for all we know.' Dani said.
'Dan, calm down.' Lisa said.
'Me calm down? You're burning a hole in the floor.' She pointed out which stopped the movement. Amy walked over to the bed and lifted open one of Christina's eyelids for the second time.
'Her eyes are back to normal which probably means her body is healing itself.'
'I still don't get why you can't just heal her when she's like this.' Lauren said.
'I guess it has to do with the type of magic she uses.' Amy said.
'My death beam doesn't tire me out like that.' Lisa realised.
'No, it just makes you want to kill everyone you see.' Lauren said.
'Fair point.' Lisa sat on the end of the bed.
'Do you think we should call Noah and give him an update?' Katherine asked.
'No, I told him we'd get her to call him, or we'd call if something changes. Nothing's changed.' Amy said.
'Don't...' Christina whispered. Lauren and Dani looked down, the others turned their heads in anticipation.
'Chris?' Dani put a hand gently on her shoulder.
'Don't call him.' She said, her eyes fluttering open.
'We won't.' Amy smiled. Christina looked around the room before pushing herself up. Lauren helped her lean against the backboard.
'Did we win?' She asked.
'Yeah, we won.' Katherine told her. She smiled and closed her eyes, leaning her head back.
'Is he really gone?' She asked quietly.
'Yes, he's gone.' She opened her eyes and locked them with Lisa's. 'I promise you he's not coming back this time.'
'Thank you.' Christina whispered, a tear falling down her cheek. 'Are you guys okay?'
'Oh yeah, piece of cake.' Lauren grinned.
'But you do need to talk to Noah. The guy called and left a million messages before Amy talked him down.' Dani told her.
'I need to go and see him.' Christina said, sitting forwards trying to wake herself up.
'Give yourself a minute Chris.' Lisa said.
'What time is it?' She asked, realising she didn't even know if it was day or night.
'It's three in the afternoon, you've lost half of another day.' Lauren said.
'Great. I'll go see him later then.' Christina sighed.
'I don't like the sound of that sigh Christina.' Katherine said.
'It's fine.' Christina assured them, but they weren't having any of it.
