puck was supposed to play eddie in the rocky horror episode but mark had issues with his contract due to releasing his original music so instead puck was in juvie

the glee project was inspired by chris colfer's audition. the producers wanted to have more auditions like that so they created the glee project to broaden their options for new characters and storylines

finn was not originally supposed to be a drummer but they wrote that into the character after cory was cast in the role because of cory's drumming abilities
