ATWYRM podcast - Dream Tour (post s3 tour)

the episode started with jenna talking about the upcoming thing she's doing (and roped kevin into) to benefit Harvest House on April 21st

kevin said he was late bc he was still thinking about his dream setlist

they agreed that there's a lot of really good songs, they also learned a lot from the tours they did — kevin likes when the girls do something, then the boys do something, jenna said it was well-balanced with fan favorites, their favorites, etc.

jenna asked if this was a s3 tour only and kevin said no he brought in other songs bc s2 tour was s2 & 1 so this time he did mostly s3 but songs from 1 & 2 also

the next sections are in no particular order. kevin liked how heather had her britney moment in the other tour and wants her to do who run the world (girls), he liked that mark had his moment on tour and said they should do mashups/medleys so mark would do a mashup of mean and im the only one, amber should have her moment of try a little tenderness, darren and chris could have a moment to sing perfect together

vanessa could come out for a choir room segment to do big spender and she gets cut off and the ladies are like no no no we'll do it like this and the troubletones do a section (like how the warblers did)

kevin said it should go black and build the tension for rumour has it / someone like you, then survivor / I will survive, stronger — he had candyman but feels it doesn't fit and the alternative would be candyman, survivor / I will survive, stronger and rumour has it will be saved for the encore

not too long disco medley/mashup — you should be dancing, disco inferno, more than a woman, staying alive

maybe michael section: abc, human nature, smooth criminal/scream (naya on stage with two cellos), then thriller / heads will roll

so maybe michael happens then it goes dark and vanessa comes out (bc she's not in that) and then the troubletones, then chris does not the boy next door, then darren does cough syrup and somewhere only we know, then a whitley moment with acapella how will i know into so emotional / i wanna dance with somebody mashup, and big group number for your love is my love

"this is the wildest tour. I don't wanna be a part of this tour because that's too much work" - jenna

kevin wants the ladies to do the full version of cell block tango on an arena stage, blame it on the alcohol would be fun, then because you love me, what makes you beautiful, love you like a love song, start me up / living on a prayer, and close the set with we are young

encore starts out acapella shake it out, glory days (kevin removed glory days and said go from shake it out then they kick out the stools and go into) river deep mountain high, light up the world or a full competition moment — faithfully, any way you want it, lovin touchin squeezing, end with DSB

kevin said for solos he couldn't figure out like what lea song or what cory song, they agreed jessie's girl is good

jenna said they're missing a lot of lea in this, kevin agreed — jenna said firework bc she loves that one and kevin said it's a difficult one to sing but they both agreed lea does a great job, jenna would've put faithfully in for lea and halo / walking on sunshine bc people love it but was trying to stay more s3-centric

kevin explained their tours started with three group numbers back to back to back, always starting with DSB, then some duets, some boys, some girls, break it up and some group numbers and sprinkle it up throughout

kevin said when somebody to love ends, they all say hi to the crowd and then you hear the intro to we found love (jenna agreed and said it's what sing should've been)

they'll do who run the world (girls) with heather, naya, vanessa, jenna - leave amber out to go next for and I will always love you, taking out dianna and lea and putting them into I feel pretty / unpretty, love song
