Glee Tour - Showmance Recap

1st tour - 2010

Telly's dad sent him the script to glee and hired him as a PA

When Telly's dad left (around Wheels) Dante DiLoreto pulled Telly aside and told him he hoped he was staying even though his dad wasn't

Jenna and Kevin said Telly was the only person on set that they would listen to

Telly said Lea and Cory walked away and he didn't wanna follow because he didn't wanna creep so he said "where are you going?" And Lea was going to the trailer for the bathroom and Cory was stepping outside so Telly said "you have to be back in five minutes" and they said "okay" and they came back

Megs was a "nanny for babies and moved to L.A. and became a nanny for adults by joining the cast of glee"

Megs said Chord was very responsive to being talked to like a child

"We love nepotism!" - Kevin (Megs interned in the summers in L.A. and stayed with Jane Lynch - her aunt and Jane ended up helping her get a job on tour and then on glee)

"if anyone can get through the 2011 tour, then you're fine" - Kevin

Kevin's writer (list of demands) included tequila and a parchment and quill (as a joke) and he got it

"the first tour was an experiment" - Kevin

Heather brought them to a jazz bar

and they all went to a gay bar

Jane hugged Kevin and goes "I heard you're a little gay boy" and Kevin said no and Jane was like "oh I'm sorry pretend this didn't happen"

Megan has all of their secrets - photos and videos (fairyvale)

for the first show, half of them were in character

Kevin said the first show everyone was silent the entire time and at the end after the very last song, the audience finally stood up and clapped

First tour - May 10th - May 31st, 13 shows in 3 weeks

Second tour - May 20th - July 4th, 44 shows in 6 weeks

Megs said the security guards in Radio City said they hadn't seen it that crazy since the Beatles

Dijon went to Queens to get his hair done and wasn't gonna be back and was gonna be 3 hours late

"by the second tour, I had like fans" - Telly

"We were shocked that anyone showed up at all" - Kevin (about tour)

Telly said he and Kevin made prank calls with Naya in her hotel room in Phoenix (they called Gerard Butler - it wasn't from Naya)

"the night we called some particular person, it was great" - Kevin (they won't say who they called)

fans found out that they were staying at that hotel so they'd be rushed back to their rooms and Cory would stay out and take pictures with every single person outside

"Cory was living his best life during that. He loved interacting with the fans. He was always the last one outside" - Megan

Telly and Megan were always so proud and excited and always felt like "this is so special" working on glee and the tour

Jenna said tour bonded all of them so much

Kevin said he was much more present the second tour because of the experiences on the first tour

One of Telly's all time favorite memories was at the end of the tour, they were at an after party in NY and he was chilling with Jon Groff and George Michael's Freedom 90 came on and Kevin is up on a table and Jenna arrived and Naya arrived and the music got louder and louder and it got more crowded and everyone just let it out
