Showmance Podcast Glee Recap - Season Two

I completely respect and understand Kevin and Jenna's decision to take a break from Showmance (though I miss it), and if they're ever ready to share glee recaps again, I'll update this chapter

season two is when they started blurring the lines of reality

JBI's blog starts out with a recap

Kevin liked seeing Sue & Will vs Beiste and Jenna said it made her giggle

Jenna was excited about Empire State of Mind even though she didn't get to sing

Jenna loved shooting in the courtyard but said the stairs were so big so it was annoying but Kevin said "I wouldn't know"

Jenna's quote of the episode is when Sue yelled "shut up!" to Rachel and Sunshine after Telephone

Jenna said Dot Marie Jones gives such good hugs

Kevin said Dot went around to get to know everyone and got the dirt from Kevin

Jenna loved working with Harry and said they were tight but "it was wild"

"this is the start of Artie being problematic" - Kevin (when Artie compared Kurt being on the football team to himself being on it)

"that was the character, not me" - Kevin

Jenna still has her Asian camp sweatshirt

"it gets pretty wild, you guys" - Jenna about Tina's style

"I think everybody as an actor just got so much better" - Kevin (about returning for season 2)

Kevin said Rachel being scared of new people coming to the club was reflective on how they felt in real life because they were nervous of new cast members but the creators and writers used the show to teach them that it would make them better - example: Chord

Jenna remembers being like "oh my god Kevin's gonna go work with Chord" and she walked by and heard them and she was like "who is this guy?" And Kevin came back like "he's great!" and everyone loved Chord

Kevin said he remembered thinking Chord was nervous

"thank god Chord joined the show" - Kevin

Chord didn't know that they thought he was gonna be Kurt's boyfriend and he was like "oh okay"

Jenna thinks Chord and Darren auditioned at the same time and then the writers figured out how they were gonna do it once they got to know Chord

"Nothing makes me happier" - Kevin (about Finn's Cheerios audition)

they used to make Cory do that dance all the time

Kevin and Jenna said it was so satisfying and exciting to see Quinn back in her Cheerios uniform

"my nickname is tator tot" - Kevin (from Zach Woodlee)

Kevin said he was at smell level and the broccoli smelled like farts

Jenna loved Listen when it was being done and when watching the episode

Jenna's favorite group number this episode was Empire State of Mind
