Hey guys! First of all, I'm so sooooooo sorry for not updating in a looong time (has it really been 8 months?!). I started writing this chapter like a month after posting chapter 29 last year but then I accidentally deleted quite a lot of it (don't ask me how 😂🤦🏻♀️ ) I wrote like 3,000 words and thought it saved but it simply disappeared! since then I've been working on this and I like to think that it's turned out better than what I originally planned... however it hasn't had my full attention for a while due to life, college and work 😂
As we've been in lockdown in the UK for 5 weeks (so far) due to the Coronavirus I've had a lot of time to myself and my creative side has returned! So here it is, chapter 30! I hope you enjoy and don't forget to tell me what you think by commenting and voting! See you on the other side!
Lucy's POV:
A lot has happened over the last few months! The boys released A Head Full Of Dreams on December 4th last year and the fans have gone absolutely nuts! They love it- as do I , the album's brilliant. They had Beyoncé do vocals on Hymn For The Weekend, and Tove Lo sung with Chris on Fun. The kids sang backing on some of the songs and even I was dragged into singing on the chorus of Up & Up! Noel Gallagher helped out on that one too.
Chris has also been busy and heavily involved with the Global Citizen charity- going on trips abroad to different countries with them and Oxfam to do some charity work too. He sees it as a way of giving back , which is really sweet. He has such a big heart and loves helping people in any way possible- I don't get why some people like the press / people who dislike the band question his actions and jump to negative conclusions or sell stories/ leave nasty comments on social media about him. I know Chris tries to ignore them and puts on a brave face, focusing on the fans and the people who support and love him and the band but he can be sensitive and I know that sometimes things really upset him.
They officially started the AHFOD era at the Global Citizen festival back in September, which was in Central Park NYC - it's a new festival that Chris is the curator of for the next 15 years. They performed a new song called Amazing Day - which went down exceptionally well with old and new fans. Ariana Grande also covered Harry Styles' Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart with Chris last minute and it was awesome... her voice is insane and she's such a lovely girl! It was such a fun day and can't wait until next year!
The boys also had fun filming the video for the main single off the album = Adventure Of A Lifetime... which involved them dressing up in special motion capture suits and dance/act like monkeys! The whole process into making it is so clever - Mat Whitecross is so creative and it was lovely to meet him properly as I'd heard a lot about him. He was one of the boys' uni friends and they'd always stayed in touch with each other over ... he's directed quite a few of their videos over the years!
We also had a trip to Mumbai in September to film the Hymn For The Weekend video where I was covered from head to toe with Holi Powder (powder paint). Chris insisted for me to be an extra to be a part of the fun and I have to admit it was crazy! It was a nightmare to wash the powder off though, it turned into actual paint when wet! 😂 I even managed to get some in my ears , which was a task itself to try to get out again! It took weeks to get rid of it! It was amazing to go to India though, I've never been there before but I think we might be going back again soon- if things work out we'll be coming back with the band for a concert there sometime during the next 2 years!
