A few hours later, Chris and I were walking to The Bakery, one of the band's studios. We walked side by side along the pavement in comfortable silence, lost in our thoughts. Chris wore a thick black beanie over his golden locks and a light blue down jacket to protect himself from the bitterly cold air.
He had lent me his comfy leather jacket to throw over my clothes- it smelt of him, it made me feel at ease. He had also given me a scarf to wrap around my face in attempt to hide my bruises from view. Chris turned his head to gaze at me.
"Are you alright? You're awfully quiet " he said, gazing down at me with kind eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I smiled at him. "Just thinking really"
"About what?" He asked curiously
"Well, all of this really.... it's all so surreal..." I admitted, pulling the scarf closer to my face, trying to hide the fact that I was blushing. He chuckled warmly.
"Hey, don't worry about all this alright? It's me that saved you- I want to help you... I'm sure the guys will love you too" he added, a mischievous look in his eyes.
"Wait... the others are gonna be there too?" I asked, feeling a smile pulling at my lips.
"Yeah! Well, Will's definitely going to be there by now. Jonny and Guy will probably come later- we might see them though " he said. I nodded.
"So what are they like?" I asked. He chuckled, thinking about what to say.
"Well Will's the frightening one who plays drums. He's like the anchor of the ship- but he's a softy really. Guy's the handsome one who plays bass, the girls love him! He's quiet but he'll speak up if he really means something. Jonny's the wise one who plays guitar, I'd say he's probably the shyest guy ever. Then there's Phil, he's our first manager but he's the creative director now. I'd say he's the wise, handsome, frightening one who tells us what to do!" He exclaimed, laughing along with me.
"And what about you? How do you describe yourself?" I asked. He paused, gazing into the distance thoughtfully.
"I'm the other one who sings" he said, his smile lighting up his face.
"That sounds so plain!" I chuckled, shoving him playfully. He looked at me in shock, laughing before suddenly grabbing my upper legs and hoisted me into his arms and flung me upside down over his shoulder in a fireman's lift.
"Oh My God!!! Chris put me down!" I screamed, hitting his muscled back with my fists lightly.
"NEVER!" He screamed as He giggled like a child and spun us around wildly and ran along the street before finally putting me down. I gazed up at him with a huge smile.
"Well that was unexpected... I didn't know you were that strong!" I mocked, laughing as he flexed his biceps.
"Well thanks.... they don't call me Mr Muscles for nothing you know... not that you weigh a lot, you're as light as a feather" he said.
"Smart ass" I said, laughing as he feigned looking upset. "Sorry!" I added, in attempt to not hurt his feelings.
"It's alright- I'm only joking" he smirked. "C'mon, we're nearly there" he said as he took off down the street at a run, jumping and spinning playfully. I sighed before breaking into a run in attempt to catch up with his lanky legs.
