I couldn't take Lawrence up on his offer yesterday, but today was a new day and I wasn't going to let it stop my glow. Wasn't feeling like myself though so I put on shades and threw on a little some some. We had agreed to go out for brunch.

I stopped for coffee on the way hoping he wouldn't mind.

Lawrence pulled me into a hug when he saw me. "You okay, stormed out of the studio yesterday." Nodding my head, I took a look at the menu laying before me. The waitress took our orders. "I'll have a Caesar salad and pink lemonade thank you." I gave her a small smile. Lawrence glanced at me from time to time.

I could tell he wanted to say something about my lip.

"Don't let frustration discourage you. You'll get it and you still have time to." Placing a hand on mine, he tried to reassure me. I flinched without even realizing it. His face dropped. Before he could speak on it my phone started to ring. It was you know who.

I didn't want to answer, but I was scared for him to pop up. Which it seems he's been good at doing lately.

"Hey baby." His voice irritates me. It use to give me butterflies, but the slowly flew away. "Um..hey." Looking up I saw the waitress place our food in-front of us, and ask was that all. Lawrence didn't respond just nodded like he knew to be quiet. I'm glad he did. I didn't want to make my distraction worse.

Kano apologized doing the usual 'I'm sorry baby, It would never happen again.' Speech. I didn't care just wanted to get him off of my phone so, I can go back to talking to Law. "I love you too, see you tonight." I put my phone in my purse then started working on my food.

After eating Law and I walked on the deck. We stared at the beach and surprisingly started having a real conversation. He told me about how he didn't have any kids and only had his mother who was currently living in New York.

Him and his last girlfriend didn't workout she cheated..a few times apparently.

No brothers or sisters just him. His dad died from cancer. Interesting how he turned to dance and it worked out for him. I enjoyed the talking until the tables turned. He wanted to know about me. Telling him the basics of how I been taking care of Zadie and I didn't know my parents I might've kept out some key parts.

I even told him about Kano being my boyfriend, but didn't dare say he put me on to stripping or how he's been treating me lately. "What do you really want to do? I know stripping isn't it." I laughed because he was right.

I never really noticed how sweet he was. How his dimples showed when he smiled or how shoulders sat so perfectly in his v neck. I wanted to touch them.

"I want to do dance...and you're making that happen so thank you." He smiled, to keep from blushing I just turned my head. I felt his hand in twine with mine this time I didn't stop it. I also felt less frightened.

"It's okay, You  don't have to cover your eye. I still think your beautiful." That was out the blue and I don't know how to feel about it. Slowly, Lawrence took off my shades causing me to blink rapidly. He put them behind my ear pushing my hair back.

"Did he do this to you?" I shook my head quickly, telling him not to worry about it. This was the first time he actually bring his up.

The sun was setting so, I looked at my phone. It was almost time for me to go get ready to work. "I have to go." Pulling my hand back, I put my shades back on. Lawrence seemed very much bothered, like he didn't want me to go. I honestly didn't want to, but I need the money and Kano is waiting.

"See you tomorrow?" He said brushing his hand on my face. I smiled before heading the opposite direction. Little did he know he wasn't going to see me tomorrow. I couldn't risk Kano finding out or coming back to my apartment again. Maybe I wasn't going to dance after all.

Tonight was the usual. Peach at the bar and other girls were around or on stage.

"You okay?" She gave a 'mhm' followed by the cold shoulder. Started to make me think Kano did something to her and I was going to find out cause I feel guilty. She didn't have to cover for me, but she did. I can't help, but feel it's my fault.

I went straight to his office.

Walked right into a conversation between him and Vince. They both looked at me. Kano had the meanest look on his face and they seemed to be arguing. I heard a little before coming in. I think it was about money. " I'll come back later.." Feeling embarrassed I two stepped my way out.

Then pulled out my phone looking at that picture of the off sure account.

I needed to sneak into Kano's office to learn more about. Right now I think he's stealing from the club and Vince doesn't know. Just then my phone rung. It was a odd number I never saw before so, I declined. "You can go talk to-..." Jumping I turned around to him. Vince took one look at me and shook his head.

He knew his brother did it and just kept walking.

One thing about Vince he minds his business unless it's about his business or finances. About to go in his office again, but my phone wouldn't stop going off so I finally answered. What I heard me hot. "SHE DID WHAT?"
