It Feels Good To Have My Best Friend Back Again

Chapter 16

Zayn's POV

        I'm still trying to process what just happened a few hours ago at the concert. I'm happy for Niall and Harry, but I'm still a bit shocked. Niall and I used to be so close that we could tell each other everything, but now he has Harry. I'm not jealous of them. I love my fiance Perrie, I just want my best friend back. Don't get me wrong Niall and I are still close, just not nearly as much as we used to be. I was actually thinking of talking to Niall. I decide to walk across the hall and go to his room. I knock on the door and I hear a familiar voice with a thick Irish accent shout "Just a second." A second later Niall opens up the door and I'm face to face with the lad.

        "Hiya Zayn. What can I do for you?" "I was wondering if you had a few minutes. I kind of wanted to talk to you." He smiles at me and says "Sure thing buddy, come right on in." I sit down across from Niall and start to talk. "Niall, we've been best friends since day one, but I feel like you've gotten sick of me. We used to be able to tell each other anything and now we don't talk as much. I mean we're still good friends, but not like we used to be." Niall sighs. "I know Zayn. I'm sorry I haven't been there for as much as I could have been, but I'd like to make it up to you. Since we're heading back to England tomorrow for a few months, as soon we get there, you and I will go to Nando's. It'll be just the two of us and we can talk and bond over wonderful food." I laugh and smile at Niall. "Sounds like a plan Niall. Anyways I know you and Harry want to have some alone time, so I'll leave you two alone for the night. Good night Niall." "Good night Zayn." I walk back to my room and think to myself "Gee it feels good to have my best friend back again."
