Chapter 28

Zayn's POV

      Liam and Louis have been down since they found out about Niall, so I decided that we should all have a sleepover and help us get our mind off of everything for one night. I'm kind of in the movie to watch some movies. "Liam, Louis, are you guys up for a movie marathon tonight?" Liam and Louis both nod. "Our choices are Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Hunger Games:Catching Fire, and I Am Number Four. Pick two movies and we'll watch both of them. Liam wants Iron Man 3 and Catching Fire while Louis wants Catching Fire and I am Number Four. I guess I'm going to have to break the tie. "Sorry Louis, but I want to watch Iron Man 3 along with Catching Fire." Louis pouts a bit, but I ignore it. 

        5 hours later....

        We finally got done watching both movies and we're all exhausted. I thought we were going to be able to say up all night, but that dosen't seem to be the case. I'm about to head to bed when my phone vibrates in my pocket. I take my phone out and look to see who texted me. It was Harry. I open his text message, which says: Hey Zayn , hope you're doing okay. I don't mean to bother you, but I thought you should know what I'm about to tell you. Earlier today, Niall was tired and decided to take a nap. I tried to wake him up a few hours later, but I couldn't. It was in that moment that I realized that Niall has no pulse or heartbeat. I had to call a nurse and she had to shock him 4 times. Thankfully, Niall finally woke up when the nurse charged the paddles at 360. He's kind of groggy and he's conscious so that's good. Anyways, have a nice night and I'll see you soon Zayn. -H. Styles

        I stare my phone and I'm trying to take in Harry's text. Niall was dead for a few minutes and I wasn't there to see him when he woke up. I feel like a terrible person. Niall's probably pissed at me right now and I can't blame him. I'm supposed to be his best friend and I could be doing a better job at it than I am. Liam and Louis deserve to know about what happened to Niall earlier. "Liam and Louis, could you guys come in here for a minute?" Louis groans "Zayn it's 3 in the morning. I want to go to bed." "Louis, Harry texted me something about Niall and I thought you and Liam should know. Read Harry's text and then you can go to bed." Louis groans again, but grabs my phone out of my hand. Liam is looking over his shoulder and a minute later, Louis drops my phone from shock. "Zayn.... Niall almost died today." I sigh "I know, but he's alive. He's not going anywhere. He's a fighter and I know that he will get through this." I hug Louis and Liam and head to bed for the night. Before I do, I take my phone back from Louis and place it wear I normally do, which is on my nightstand. I shut the light off and climb into bed. I fall asleep a little while later and dream of Niall, my best friend.
