Chapter 27

Harry's POV

        I look into the window of Niall's room and notice that he's still sleeping. For the first time in days, he actually looks peaceful. I decide to walk into his room and wake him up so that him and I can talk for a bit. I bend down next to him and shake him lightly, not enough to hurt him though. A couple minutes goes by and I try again. Still no response. I feel his body for a pulse when I notice that there isn't one. Within seconds, I press the button for a nurse and she appears shortly after. "Nurse, Niall isn't waking up and I can't feel a pulse." The nurses pushes past me and grabs the paddles. She yells "Charge at 100. Clear!" A minute goes by and nothing changes. She then yells "Charge at 200. Clear!" There is no response for Niall. Next, she shouts "Charge at 300. Clear!" Still no changes. The tears fall down my face and I start to feel my throat closing up on me. I can't lose Niall, not today and not ever. The nurse yells "We're not giving up on Niall yet. Charge at 360. Clear!" A minute goes by and Niall has a pulse and heartbeat, thank you lord. A huge surge of relief rushes through me and I hug the nurse and thank her for saving the love of my life.

        The nurse leaves and as soon as she does, Niall's eyes flutter open and I run up to him and kiss him. He looks kind of groggy so I'm going to try not to ask him a lot of questions. Instead I kiss him on the lips and rub his back gently. Niall looks up at me with his gorgeous baby blue eyes. "Hi babe. What happened?" "Niall, your heart stopped and you were dead, but now you're back. You gave me a big scare. Don't ever leave me again." Niall kisses me back with full force and says "I'll do my best Harry, I'll do my best." "Good because I love you too much to ever lose you Niall James Horan." Niall gives me a small smile. We sit there in silence holding hands and enjoying some piece and quiet for a little while. Eventually I start to get tired and I fall asleep, placing my head in the crook of Niall's neck. Niall kisses my forehead lightly and rubs my back while I drift off to the place that many call dreamland.
