I switched it off again and rushed to my room. I put on my quilts and cried and cried. After that, I decided that I had to tell my grannies about it. Anyhow. I trust them. I know that they won't ever judge me. So I went to their room. I switched on the lights and shouted, "MA ,pa please please wake up pleaseee." They woke up terrified as hell. "What happened Mi?" MA enquired. "Is everything alright ?" Asked Pa, all tensed.

I broke down in front of them. I sat on the floor. " I lost everything MA. I couldn't be your lioness Pa. I couldn't be brave. I'm sorry, I am really sorry." "What happened Mia? Please tell us?" They said in unison. I took a deep breath. " MA and pa, I've been hiding something from you. How should I tell you. Ever since I became 13, something is troubling me. I have atrocious nightmares every single night. Dreams, so terrifying, one cannot resist. I see structures around me. I see spirits, ghosts. I hear people calling me. I see absurd scenes in the house taking place in front of my very eyes. I know after hearing all this, you won't believe me. You'd think I am lying but...." "Shhhhhh!" They stopped me.

"We believe you Mia. Don't worry. You can come to us anytime. Even if it is in the middle of the night. We'll always be there for you. We love you. The day of the car accident, we did not die only because God wanted us to be with you. To look after you. To bring you up. Child, you are our world. We will never judge you." I hugged them tightly. " What do you keep doing with your hair?" Ma scolded as she lovingly tied my hair into a loose ponytail. I loved her scolding anyway. They kissed my forehead. I went to bed with a lighter heart stronger state of mind.

It was the first night when I was actually able to sleep very peacefully in my room. One month had passed and this was the first day, there was happiness in my eyes. That night, I strangely didn't have any dreams as well. I woke up at around 5:30 am. I went to the grandparents who were there in the kitchen, talking among themselves. I hugged them from the back. "Thank you MA and pa for last night" I said to them.

"For last night?" Ma asked. "What happened last night, I don't remember!" Pa said. My eyes were opened wide. My legs were shaking. "Don't you remember anything. When I told you about the ghost, about the nightmares, remember?" "I don't think I remember any ghosts" MA was confused. "Any nightmares either" Pa added. " I guess we were sleeping soundly in bed last night" they both chorused. I was numb. Simply, thunderstruck.
