Save Her for My Sake

Jayy's POV

"Doc, please, I can't leave her here by herself."

"I'm not saying you can't come back. Listen, Jeremy-"

"Jayy"

"Jayy, I see how much you care for her. But I think her mother needs some time to cool off. I shouldn't be doing this... but," the doctor pulled out a sheet of paper and started scribbling something down. "here"

"What is it?"

"Visiting hours end at 9pm. Go home, get some rest, come back around 9:30 and show this to the guard at the entrance. If there's any arguments, just have them call me down and I'll have it cleared up. My name is Dr. Troy."

"Not that I don't appreciate it, but why are you doing this for me?"

"I see the way you look at her. I had a wife who I loved dearly and I used to look at her the same exact way. I feel you kid, I understand what it's like when you find your true love. She needs you. I don't want you to go through what I went through."

"I'm so sorry. What happened if you don't mind me asking."

"About three years ago I developed a cancerous tumor in my heart. I was on the brink of dying and the hospital finally found a transplant for me. Before I went under for surgery I couldn't get ahold of my wife so I figured she was just at work. When I woke up she still was nowhere to be found..." he paused for a moment. I could hear the tears in his voice.

"If you don't want to continue-"

"No.... it's okay. So turns out she was the only match and.... she gave me her heart. According to the doctors she had a brain tumor that couldn't be treated and she was bound to pass soon... so she gave the little bit of life she had left to save mine... She was so young. So beautiful. But I cherish every moment we spent together. I want you to have as much time together with her as possible. Incase something were to go wrong. But I will do everything in my power to save her. Please understand that."

By this time I was crying. She gave her life to save his and I know in my heart, I would do the same. I couldn't find the words to thank this wonderful man who stood before me. All I could manage to do was hug him.

"Now go on, get some rest and I'll see you back here around 9:30" his voice was now a little more calm. All I could manage was a nod and with that we parted ways and I headed towards the elevator.

Please, Skye. You have to live. For my sake. I'd be lost with out you...

Hey guys, sorry again for slow ass updates. I currently have pneumonia soooooo I've just been in bed constantly. Since I'm out if work for awhile I decided I'd write everything on wattpad since apparently I can now save my chapters offline and when I have wifi I'll just publish it then. So hopefully I'll have updates atleast once a week. I know I've said that a million times before but I'm really gunna try. I feel bad for leaving all you lovelies hangin'. Thank you again for all of you that are still sticking by my side. I love you all and I hope to hear from you guys soon. :3
