"Can I have this dance?" the students around me clapped their hands and waiting for the answer.

I suddenly curved my lips to form a smile.
My eyes are watery.

"Stop crying, Sheryl." my classmate whispered.

Hindi ko 'yon pinansin. I stared at my man, he's sincerely asking for a dance. Tinitigan ko siya mula sa kanyang mata nang magsimula ng tumugtog. His smile was perfect and his eyes sparkled.
Suddenly, a memory flashes on my mind. I closed my eyes and started reminiscing a piece of scenario.

"Sheryl, hey!" He pulled my wrist to stop me from walking.

"What?"

"Are you jealous with her?" He asked.

"No. O-of course n-not!" I stuttered. Great!

"What's with the stuttering voice?" He asked, bahagya pa siyang nagpakawala ng hangin sa kanyang bibig.

I looked away and bit my lower lip. He knows me well, huh. Hindi na siya nakakuha ng sagot mula sa akin, kaya muli siyang nagsalita.

"Sheryl, baby. Don't be jealous. You're mine, and I'm yours forever." he said and kissed the tip of my nose.

Napabalik ako sa reyalidad nang mahinang tinapik ako ng kaklase ko.

"I said stop crying." muli, hindi ko 'yon pinansin.

I stared at my man once again. I smiled bitterly and walked away. I couldn't stop myself from crying. Watching my man dancing with his girl was painful. It should be me, but destiny tricked me. My man was dancing with the girl he told me not to be jealous of.
