Chapter 16 - Oops

Emilys POV

" All I'm saying is that I don't understand why you can't just pick. It's not that hard. Either, you love Jake, or Ren. Just pick. It's making us all miserable" Paul sneered.

" Oops" I said. They all looked at me. " I just dropped the fuck I was about to give." I snickered. Sue let out a roaring laugh. I turned when the door burst open and Clementine burst out. She let out a sigh of relief. " Thank god your ok" She said pulling me into her arms.

" Whats wrong?"I asked looking behind her. I looked down at my shakey hands. " Where's Ren?" I asked concered.

" Can we not do this here?" she whispered. " They got him?" I whispered. I watched as a tear slipped from her eye. " and Mason".

" What are you doing here? We have to go get them." I said. I looked back in the kitchen, they couldn't  hear us.

" Well lets go, do you know where they are?" I asked. " She shook her head.

" You can't come. I need you, if you die"

" I'm not going to die." 

" What's going on?" Jacob asked walking into the kitchen placing his plate in the sink.

"I-we, Clementine needs my help with something and I'm just going to help her" I studdered.

" Don't lie to me Emily." he warned. Clementine growled at him.

" Look, Ren and Mason need my help. I'm going to help them. You have to stay here." I snapped.

" Where are you going?" he asked pulling me close to him.

" I don't know, all I know is that Ren and Mason need me, and I'm going to help him." I said once again. He sighed. " Do you want help, because I'll go and you can stay here." he said.

" Emily has a connection with Ren, she's going to have to find him." Clementine said. I smiled at her.

" The bite didn't work on you, you can't go when your still human" he explained. " Would you do this for me if I was in trouble and you were a human?" I asked. He sighed once again.

"You know I would" he said quietly.

 " You can't go, you'll die" he cried. " I'm not going to die. But I promised Mason I'd protect him no matter what happens. I always keep my promises Jake" I said.

" I'd do it for you in a heartbeat and you know it." I snapped,

" Look, Emily if you leave. You've made your choice." he snapped. My heart sunk. I wanted Jacob, I wanted to be with him. But I also love Ren. I can't let him die, the thought of him hurt makes me sick to my stomach.

I stood on my tip toes and gave him a small peck on his lips.

" Goodbye Jacob" I whispered.

Clementine grabbed my hand and led me outside.

She transformed infront of me and I got on her back. I wiped tears from my eyes as we entered the Canadian forest. She stoped and I hoped off her back.

" Do you see that?" I asked as she transformed. I thought it was cool that they could transform still keep their clothes intact.

"See what? There is nothing here?" she said looking at me. I walked up at took a sigh. I watched as my warm breath hit the cold air making my breath look like smoke, floating into the distance. It's fucking freezing. I rubbed my arms and walked up the the brick building.

" He's here, in the building." I smiled. I found them both.

" Emily? Are you insane? There is no building, we are in the middle of the woods." she said in a duh tone.

I ran my hand over the bricks. I felt a small shock as the door opened.

" Oh my god. This is Haldis" she exclaimed. No fucking shit.

" Well lets go get them" I urged. She nodded. I walked in and felt instantly sick, my head was spinning. I looked at the goose bumps that have risen on my arms. Somethings wrong with Ren.

" You go look for Mason, I'll find Ren." I whispered. She nodded and shifted. I took of my shoes and walked quietly down the hallway. It was sement. Hard, cold sement. I looked up at the wall, which was covered in blood. I cringed walking further down the hallway. 

Ren are you ok?

No answer.

Renier Samuel Laroche, answer me right now

There was no way he couldn't of heard me. I asked him through my mind. I know he heard me. The only way he couldn't of is if, he was, dead. No, my Ren isn't dead. I would've felt it. After Ren accepted me as his mate. The keepers were very happy. I thought it was Cruel of them to match me with Jackson's brother. But after they had their witch seal the bond. Nothing matered anymore.

I stoped and let out a small gasp. Ren, he said. Still. Pale. Drenched in sweat.

I opened the door, his room was stuffy, smelling like smoke. " Ren come on, we have to get out of here" I whispered pulling at his arm. He pushed me, hard. I landed on my back and gasped.

" Ren what are you doing?" I asked.

" Leave Emily. I didn't want you to save me. I deserve to die here." he whispered.

My eyes widened. " Don't say that! What are you talking about? Your coming with me Ren, get up" I pushed.

" Leave me alone Emily" he yelled. I shushed him.

" Your not leaving me Ren. Please. Look at me. You have to help me Ren. Please, get up. For me." I cried. He took a long deep look into my eyes.

" Please" I said tired and exhausted. I grabbed his arm as he nodded. He was so cold.

I wrapped his hand around mine and transported us to Mason and Clementine. They were outside of the building. I took a long glance back at it. I stared, there was something different about this building.

I jumped back as it burst in flames. I looked at Clementine who was placing kisses all over Mason.

I looked back at Ren. I wiped at the tears coming from his eyes.

" We'll take him home." Clementine said.

" Mason, he pushed me. Ren has never done that before. What happened. Who were those people that attacked you?" I asked. He shrugged.

" Emily, they took his wolf."
