*Takes place a couple months Homecoming*
Nick Furry stood in front of Tony, who was leaning against the counter, a hand rubbing his temples. "You're telling me... what exactly..." he said slowly, needing to process this.
Nick Furry sighed deeply. "Tony, you and I both know you heard me the first time... " he said, straightening himself out. He has been explaining this, for what felt like 30 minutes. Seriously? Hs thought Tony was brighter than this.
"I know damnit... I just... I can't believe it..." Tony gritted his teeth, peeved at what he was hearing.
Nick Furry had told him about his protege, or should Tony even call him a protege anymore after what he just found out, and allegedly that Peter has fought Vulture. Vulture. The guy was dangerous. And now he learned that his protege, simple Spider-Man, battled against him. Furry even showed him a video, who knows where he got that from, of Peter and Vulture fighting. It was torture to watch his protege, almost squished and struggling yet refusing to kill the dude.
But Tony didn't have any sympathy for the protege... but anger.
And that's not even the worst part. Peter had a building dropped on him, and had to lift it. Peter almost died and had no suit on at all. The worst part though, was that Peter kept this from him. Peter could have died. Yet, Peter kept this from him, and Tony had a feeling that he wasn't planning to ever tell him, considering it happened a while ago. Tony told him specifically not to go, and he disobeyed him.
Peter always seems to disobey him.
Furry snapped him out of his thoughts, "Tony, are you listening... I said you have to talk some sense into this kid... you know how hurt he could have gotten?" He questioned harshly.
Tony slammed his hand on his counter, his back hunched over. "Don't you think I know that, but what am I supposed to do... I already took away his suit once and oh clearly didn't work..." He mumbled darkly.
"He's not cut out to be an avenger... let alone your protege..." Furry said sharply.
Tony looked up at him. He was going to protest but... he was right. What was he thinking, recruiting a 15 year old to step up. He could get hurt, and it seems he already has. 'Peter... you asked for this...' He thought. He did trust this kid, but his disregard for his own safety brought this on himself.
"Do you want me to tell him?" Furry questioned.
"No... I'll do it..." Tony said surly and straightened himself up. He grabbed his keys off the counter. "It's only fitting if I do anyway..." he said simply.
''Sorry Pete... but your irresponsible got you in this mess...'

Peter had his earbuds on as he walked home from school, listening to music. Aunt May was working till late as usual, so he had the place to himself. He entered the apartment and unlocked the door, going inside. He went inside his room, throwing his bag down and jumping on his bed, laying down. 'What to do...' Peter thought. He was going to patrol but, that was later... Ned was sick. But he was bored.
Peter looked at the homework on his desk. Homework he had to do. "Eh... I got time..." he shrugged simply. He always did his homework anyway, but he just wanted to do something... fun.
Peter then became faintly aware of someone knocking. He sat up in the bed and took off his ear buds, then the knocking got louder. Peter stood up. "Ned?" He questioned. He went over to the door and started speaking as he opened it. "Listen Ned, if you're sick than you should be in bed..." he chuckled but stopped in his tracks, when he was Tony leaning against the doorway, giving him a hard look. Of course, Tony was wearing a suit. When did he not? Let's not forget the signature black shades.
