Takes place a bit after Civil War but after Homecoming as well***
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon. Until it wasn't.
Wanda was the only one at the complex. Vision went with Tony to a lab somewhere for an experiment. According to listening it, and what Vision has later told her as well, Tony was taking Vision to Fury with Bruce to do some test or update or something?
Vision wouldn't give her the details, and though she was suspicious, she didn't bother reading his mind. She tried not to do that nowadays. It was an invasion of privacy. Plus, well... Vision could sense her in his head. So, it would be awkward and seemingly distrusting. Though Vision wouldn't have a problem with it.
Wanda was in her room. She was still a bit confined to the complex after the events of the team getting split. She hated Stark for it. In fact, the only reason she stayed was for Vision and the other Avengers, like Clint. But if all there were was Tony? She would have left a long time ago.
The two weren't exactly pals. Tony looked Wanda up for a good two weeks, giving her an electric collar, zapping her painfully every time she used her powers. Luckily, Vision got her out... but it didn't change what Tony did. She still hasn't forgiven him. She hasn't forgotten some of the other things he's done either.
Some things she had to just let go, however.
She stayed in her room following these events mostly. The only people at the complex now were Natasha, Rhodey, Bruce, and Vision, along with Tony. Wanda only really got along with Clint and Vision. And Clint was never around, he was with his family and on house arrest.
She didn't really try to get along with the others. They held a mutual respect with her since she was an Avenger, but that was all. She was only close to two people.
Natasha was on a mission with Rhodey. Bruce and Tony were taking Vision to Fury. She was supposed to be alone at the Complex.
***
She was currently reading a book in her room on her bed, until some clattering broke her focus. She looked up from her book curiously. But ignored the sound, thinking Natasha and Rhodey were back,But a couple seconds later, another clatter. Then a crash.
Wanda got up quickly, red mist already leaking from her palm. Natasha wasn't clumsy, neither was Rhodey.
Someone else was in the complex.
Of course, she didn't know how it was possible since people had to be signed in normally unless they were an Avenger.
'Hydra?' She thought, remembering the name of the dreaded organization, on edge as she opened the door to her room quietly and slipped out.
Then she crept down the stairs slowly as she stepped into the living room on the blue carpet, her footsteps making no sounds as she had a lot of practice with sneaking around after all.
She saw a view to the kitchen. There was a male there. She couldn't see his face, just his behind as he rummaged through the cabins. She saw his brown, somewhat messy hair and overall boyish looking self.
But she wasn't going to be fooled. Regardless of how young this agent looked. Looks could be deceiving. She wasn't going to underestimate anyone.
She then made a movement, her red mist wrapped around the couch in the living room and using her telekinesis, threw it to the kitchen.
The male, as if on instinct, as if he knew... ducked just in the knick of time. As the couch smashed against the wall above the counter, breaking in half, pieces of it crumbling to the floor.
