Tony was working on a suit in the lab. More specifically, Spider Man's suit. Even though Peter, embarrassingly to him, rejected the multi-million suit made for him, as Peter wanted to stay simple, (A simple neighborhood Spider-Man) Tony wanted to add some new things to Peters suit. After his fight with Vulture, Tony wanted to make sure that in any case in a fight, like Tony's suit, his suit can easily get to him.

Yes. He didn't want that to happen to him. He cared about the kid... he was... a good person...

Innocent. Too pure at times.

It made Tony wonder how if this kid, if he wasn't a hero, how he would survive out in the world.

There were a lot of bad people... and even as a hero... Tony learned he couldn't save everybody. He dreaded the day Peter learned that... though... maybe he did and Tony didn't know...

Tony glanced at the time. 2:50. Peter's school was dismissed in five minutes. Normally Peter would work on the suit with him after school but he wanted it to be a surprise.

'Maybe I'll just surprise him at school...' Tony thought, getting up, then washing his hands. It wasn't like he was those uncool parents. He was freaking Tony Stark. If anything, he would make Peter more popular.

'He should be thanking me...' Tony thought with a chuckle as he grabbed his suit jacket and started outside. The school was a good 3 minutes away. By the time he got there, school should be dismissed.

He walked slowly. He had time. Besides, Tony liked to make an entrance.

When he got there, he saw the students disperse from the school. He leaned against a tree waiting for Peter to come out. 'You would think he would be like all the other teenagers and rush out as soon as school ended too...' Tony chuckled, figuring Peter was just being a nerd and staying behind to help out a teacher or something.

He would definitely do that.

Some teenagers recognized him, even with the shades on. And since Tony was a nice person... despite being slightly annoyed, he gave some autographs. But he didn't do any of the odd things these kids were asking.

One kid wanted to see him do a backflip on his suit? Why the hell would he do that?

He just said he didn't have his suit, and after a few minutes of being crowded, told some kids to buzz off and go study or do something productive.

Then, 10 minutes passed.

Tony was a little annoyed that Peter was making him wait this long. Granted, he didn't know Tony was coming but still. Usually after school Peter would go to the complex to help Tony with the usual science stuff. And he knew for a fact Peter was present. Peter would never miss a day of school. Plus, his Spider-Man powers gave him a great immune system, so it's not like he can get sick.

Tony sighed. He thought about leaving. 'Maybe he left through the other door?'

He walked to the front, seeing the doors opened. He looked around, seeing if anybody was looking. Then just walked in.

What?

He was iron man... it wasn't like his presence was dangerous. If anything, he was gracing everyone.
