{Alex's POV}
The next morning I woke up to tomorrow the sound of people talking. Alot of people talking at the same time. I got out of bed and carefully made my way down the stairs and them nudged my moms leg making room between my parents who were standing on the thrush hold of the house frozen. I squeezed through to freeze my self.
On our freshly cut lawn was the alpha with a dead deer in front of him... Bowing. Confused I tried to step back but my parents moved blocking my way. When I looked up at my pops face he looked proud and worried. Confused I sat where I stood and decided to wait things out.
Afew minutes later the alpha got up whining pity fully and walked away. My father got rid of the deer and my mom nudged me and I followed her back into the house.
"Honey do you understand what happened just a few minutes ago? " she asked I whined and layed On the carpet.
"The alpha brought you.... An offering " she said like I was supposed to understand her
"Do you know what an offering is? " she asked when I stayed quiet I huffed telling her I didn't
"He asked permission to court you" she said and I got up quickly she stepped closer
"It's okay sweetheart none of us took his offering so he won't but honey you need to talk to us" she said softly I growled at her and just then my father came into the room.
"Alex" he scolded with a huff I layed back down. My parents went to the kitchen and I could hear them talking in hushed tones. I mentally sighed got up and headed to ben's cabin. But when I got near the front door I heard moans and ben and brain's voice so I turned and went to the river on the edge if out territory. I got in the water and started to splash it around till I heard a chuckle.
I froze on my spot. Why didn't I catch his scent first? Shit. The water!
Carefully I turned towards him. His smile melted off and he was looking at me with sad eyes. He then got down to his knees. He was also bowing in human form?
"I ruined my chance didn't I? " he asked softly I started walking walk wards
"I'll go" he said and turned around and walked away. I looked at his back till he disappeared. I sigh and decided to go back home. But then I have heard movement in the bushed on the other side of the river. Out side the territory. I stayed silent waiting for who ever it was to come out
