Chapter 9: A Spark of Hope

The group spent the day trying to figure out what they could do to fix Moon. She had spent three hours thrashing at her chains non-stop. They were getting concerned that someone would soon get suspicious.

Star left to go and check on Todoroki in the morning. He was recovering quickly and was conscience when Star had come. Yes he was covered in bandges and his arm in a sling but he was okay and that is all Star cared about.

She wasn't able to tell Todoroki about what she had done or what was now in their garage. She felt guilty but he wasn't good enough to come home so she decided to wait.

The doctor told Star that Shoto would be able to go home in a couple days the soonest would be the next day. That told Star that she needed to take care of Moon before that.

Star kisser Todoroki good bye and had to leave once more. The nurse had to yell at Todoroki for trying to go with her.

Star went straight back to her place. Once she got there, there was a loud bark. Star saw a older looking dog scratching her garage door and whining. Next to it stood Bakugou watching it.

"Um Bakugou?" Star said to Bakugou hoping that he would realize she wanted to know what was happening.

Star got a better look at the dog and saw it was a husky but it was a little bigger than normal. It's blue eyes flashed up at her and she saw it was nervous and excited. The creature was so familiar.

"It's the bitch's dog. Remember him? Silver... He is almost on his last leg. Once she disappeared he had a wave of depression which almost took him out. Once we graduated, Kirishima convince me to take him in since he loved so much when I would do to her house. He had barely moved like this in years," Katsuki said this as if he felt bad for the dog and there was also concern in his voice.

"Okay!" There was a shout from inside of the garage sounding like it was from Momo.

Bakugou opened up the door and the dog bolted in. It ran straight to the room containing Moon and scratched the door continuously.

"Stop him! He probably going to provoke Moon!" Shouted Star and she ran over to grab him.

"Don't do that!" Iida said stopping her from getting closer to the dog.

Momo walked closer by Star and said, "That's the idea. Moon and Silver had a extreme bond. Silver will do anything to get back to his master if it kills him. Moon had a close enough bond to him, that hearing him should be able to help her."

Star watched the dog in pain as in cried against the door. They watched it till it made then cry. No creature should be tortured like that.

Kirishima had to go up to Silver with dog catcher materials to get him. He would have probably killed him or himself if not. He then was locked in a kennel after.

Iida walked over to them holding a tablet. On it was inside of the room with Moon.

"Watch this," Iida played the video.

The video player and it showed the wolf laying on the ground. Then there was the sound of Silver. The wolf immediately perked up and moved closer to the door. Then the scratching of the door began to be heard. And the crying of Silver. The wolf crumped backwards and shook it's head painfully. It's eyes were closed tightly and it whimpered gently. It reopened it's eyes and they were a different color, almost purple. It flashed it's eyes around, they flashed many shades of light red, purple and a version of blue purple. It then fizzled a dark blue for a bit and it froze. It took a few breaths then seemed to look around. It then blinked and it's eyes melted back into a purple and it began to thrash again.

They could hear Silver be moved and the wolves eyes went back to red. It then laid back on the ground and went to staring at the door.

The video ended and everyone looked at each other.

"It worked!" Shouted Mina excitedly.

Momo half fived Mina and everyone cheered. Star smiled at the two and hugged Momo.

"We're going to do it Moon," Star mumbled though her hug.
