"She's hurt! You have to help her!"
The Partisans dragged Orona, who had fallen unconscious. Cassian struggles desperately against his captors to reach her, but to no avail.
The soldiers whispered briefly to a higher ranking Tognath, who nodded. "Take the eldest to Saw and the other to the healing hall."
Jyn stepped forward. "I'm not leaving my sister."
The humanoid glared at her with black eyes, clenching his jaw. "Fine. Take them both to the hall and notify Saw."
Jyn lifted her chin, satisfied, before gesturing to her friends. "And they will not be harmed."
"As you command."
Cassian watched as Jyn and Orona were taken away, his gaze lingering even once they were out of sight, before he was forced into a cell with Chirrut and the man, whose name they learned was Baze Malbus.
"I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me. I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me."
"You pray?" Baze watched Chirrut with annoyance.
"I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me."
Baze did not receive so much as a look. "Really?"
"I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me."
"He's praying for the door to open." Baze looked to Cassian, who sat, confused and worried, with his head in his hands.
"It bothers him, because he knows it is possible. Baze Malbus was once the most devoted Guardian of us all," said Chirrut, facing Cassian's direction.
Cassian huffed a laugh, pulling out a hidden metal tool out of his sock. "I'm beginning to think the Force and I have different priorities."
Baze watched the rebel curiously. "Relax, Captain. We've been in worse cages than this one."
"This is a first for me." Cassian began his attempt at picking the lock.
"There is more than one sort of prison, Captain. I sense that you carry yours wherever you go."
Uncomfortable, Cassian did not want to respond, averting his eyes to the dank floor of the filthy prison cell. He tried not to think about Chirrut's insight, and hoped that Orona would be alright.
Meanwhile, Orona was laid on a bed of sorts, rolled onto her stomach. A Zabrak, his horns barely protruding at his young age, worked on stitching the open wound. Jyn was fascinated by his quick and agile, yet steady hand movements. The Zabrak cleaned around the stitch line before removing his gloves and preparing a syringe.
"What's that?" Jyn asked, uncertainty flickering in her eyes.
"Relax, it's only a drug to ease discomfort, like a sedative," he said, tapping the syringe to release air. "You'll find her feeling quite pleasant when she wakes."
