Cassian walked a few paces ahead of Orona and Jyn as to avoid the initiation of any conversation. He was furious, and it was obvious.

"Cassian, will you please—"

"We don't have time to argue," he interrupted, his tone even and emotionless; this was a skill he had acquired over years of being an Intelligence Officer.

They exited through the hangar towards the landing platform, a gust of wind meeting their hurried figures. Jyn, nearly jogging at this point, followed after Orona, trying to understand her and the Captain's relationship.

"Cassian, stop," Orona commanded, and to her surprise, he did just that. "Will you just listen to me for one minute?"

Cassian stood still, turning to face her. He felt mildly unsettled by how he caved to her demand, but ignored his confusion. "What could you possibly have to say about this?"

"I-I wanted to tell you," she began, "and I... I don't know why I didn't, but it doesn't mean I care for you—for the rebellion—any less. Just believe me, please."

Cassian's expression remained neutral as his lips parted to speak.

"Captain Andor!" called General Draven from across the platform.

Sparing one last glance at Orona and her sister, who looked terribly confused, Cassian made his way to the general.

"Come on," Orona sighed, leading Jyn to the Captain's ship.

Orona began strapping her weapons on anywhere she could, before throwing on a coat that hid most of her small frame.

Jyn followed aimlessly, until her attention was drawn by the droid in the cockpit.

"I'm Kay-Tuesso. I'm a reprogrammed Imperial droid," he introduced himself. His head turned to Orona, apparently expecting her to elaborate.

Orona, signing in annoyance, said, "Kaytoo, this is my sister, Jyn."

"I remember you," Jyn said. She turned to Orona, "he threw me on the ground and congratulated me."

Orona huffed a laugh. "Sorry about that, he's not very sociable."

"I see the council is sending you both with us to Jedha," Kaytoo commented. "And Orona is a liar."

Jyn took a seat. "Apparently so."

"That is a bad idea," the droid continued, droning on and earning a glare from Orona. "I think so and so does Cassian."

Orona pretended that that didn't bother her, despite the fact that it made her stomach twist. The worst of it was over, her secret had been revealed; of this she convinced herself. She had no idea that her life was currently teetering on the brink of hell.
