The Millenium Falcon trembled, and Orona unbuckled, following Luke and  Kenobi to the cramped cockpit. "What the hell's going on?"

Over Han and Chewbacca's shoulders, she could see the galaxy, along with two star destroyers on their tail.

"Stay sharp! There's two more coming in. They're going to try to cut us off!" said Han, not looking away from the control panel.

"Why don't you outrun them? I thought you said this thing was fast!"

Han whirled around, snapping, "Watch your mouth, kid, or you're going to find yourself floating home. We'll be safe enough once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides, I know a few maneuvers. We'll lose them!"

"Really? Is that what we're doing?" Orona grabbed onto the wall as the ship shuddered from the Imperial cruiser's fire. Another laser erupted an explosion, flashing just outside the cockpit and rocking the crew to the core. For a moment, Orona thought the ship was going down.

"Here's where the fun begins!" Han grinned.

Orona scoffed, muttering, "you sound like Cassian."

"How long before you can make the jump to light speed?" asked Kenobi.

"It'll take a few moments to get the coordinates from the navi-computer."

Orona fell back, slamming into whoever had appeared behind her as the Millenium Falcon rattled violently from incoming lasers.

Briefly, her eyes found Cassian's brown ones, who had come to see the commotion in the cockpit. He steadied her onto her feet, gaze flickering across her face. She noticed his eyes were darker, no longer the honey-color they reflected in the sun.

The moment lasted less than a fraction of a second before Orona recalled her anger, and stepped out of his arms, turning back to the cockpit.

"Are you kidding? At this rate they're gaining—"

Han stopped Luke, whipping around. "Traveling through Hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova and that'd end your trip real quick, wouldn't it?"

An alarm and a warning red light blares in the crew's eyes vision.

"What's that flashing?" Luke reaches forward to touch the blinking light, but Orona slapped his hand away.

"We're losing our deflector shield! Go strap yourselves in, I'm going to make the jump to lightspeed," said Han.

Orona grabbed Luke and Cassian's arms, hauling them back to the passenger seats.

Orona laid her head back against the wall of the Falcon, staring up at the white lights lining the ceiling. Since their rough takeoff, the crew's flight had been decently peaceful. Kenobi offered she and Luke begin training with sabers. She had briefly used the weapon at Kenobi's hut, but struggled with it more than Luke seemed to.
