It's been a week now. I haven't moved in to my new home nor have I met the mayor yet. Julie said he's been very busy lately. At this point, I don't care. I just want to leave as soon as possible. Why? Because every time I move around her house, I end up meeting Austin. And it's frustrating.

Still awkward between us. Our conversations are very dull. And I hate how he keeps looking at me. I'm like a rabbit stuck in a cage with a damn hawk. Just waiting for me to make a move or it making a move. God it's annoying. The one time I feel relieved is when he leaves. But then it got me wondering...where does he sleeps?

I asked Julie but she tries to avoid the question. Like she really didn't want to tell me. I also asked her what's her relations with Austin. She told me she's his guardian. Took him in when he was a little kid. Lived with her and helped her with chores. Then I asked if he lives here too...she didn't say anything after that.

I suppose it's non of my business to want to know more of their living situation but it did got me curious. It's annoying and frustrating with him around me but I somehow want to know more and more about him. Something is very wrong with me.

Julie went to her day job and Austin left early in the morning to his job. He came by for breakfast and went his way. So I'm alone in the house.

*Knock Knock*

Or so I thought. I opened the door and saw a face I really didn't want to see...it's the officer, Tom.

"Heyo. I'm not interrupting am I?" He said with a friendly atmosphere. But I ain't buying it.

"What you want." I said not having what he has to say. He could tell I was angry with him but he press on.

"Look. I- well you see." He sighed. Not sure what to say. He pulled over his backpack and took out a container. It smelled good. He handed it to me. "I know we haven't started off good, but I will want to apologise with my actions. So here." I opened the container and the smell went over my nose. It smelled so good that my mouth was about to water.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"It's a special recipe my mother and grandmother makes for people who are carrying. You know. With child."

"I get it....is it drugged?" I asked still suspicious of him. He chuckled.

"If it was, then you wouldn't be standing now would you." He said with a smile. I looked at him with a serious face which made him laugh. He patted my shoulder and let himself in. The hell.

"Hey wait-" I tried to stop him but he started to lay down on the floor in the living room. "Hey. I don't live here and I haven't-"

"I know. I just wanted to." He said. This guy. I set the food on the small table. He sat up. "I also wanted to apologise on behalf of my daughter." I sat down on the floor too.

"She's not here with you?" I said to him. I bet she didn't want to on her own. Brat.

"Nah. She's at school. Plus she wouldn't even if I asked her. She's," he thought a moment, "Too prideful. Heh just like her dad. Stubborn too. Like me." He took a breath. It was like he was nervous. "That day when we were supposed to find you, it was one of our play days. We go over the top sometimes."

"That was your play days? Almost like an assault to me." I said.

"Oh no. When she found you? That was real. She really doesn't like you. And I sometimes take her side. Which I will apologise again. And also being rough on you too. Their is no excuse for that. Sorry." He kept on apologizing.

"Ok ok I get. Still mad about it but I get it. Stop apologizing. It's creeping me out." I said. He smiled. It became quiet.

"How long are you due?" He asked to keep the conversation going. I placed my hand on my growing tummy.
