[Enemies]

In just a matter of two days, I've practically managed to make almost every single girl in this school my enemy. Stepping into the hallway, trying to get to my next class earns me deadly glares.

And just how did I manage to do that you ask?

Answer's simple: This man named Yuuki Subaru made it happen, the rude guy who's my flippin' neighbour.

Apparently, to everyone elses' eyes, we get along REALLY well, almost like a couple.

The first person who brought that topic up was of course none other than Mahiru-san. Literally spat my drink out when that happened, thankfully no one was in front of me.

How do we even look like a couple? We can't even get along with each other, all we do is just argue with each other every time we see each other's face.

Something about him just ticks me off everytime he shows up, can't help but want to whack him.

This probably wouldn't have happened if I didn't start attending school. Who wouldn't get mad when some girl just pops into the school claiming to be the first place without every evidence?

I certainly would, especially since this school only cares about your grades and nothing else.

"Nijino Yume! I challenge you to a test!" Girl #1 said angrily, and I said.

Ever since this morning, when Laura left me alone to get some breakfast, some people spotted me alone and this girl over here was bored enough to do this. Laura came back and tried to figure everything out, and oh boy, she didn't even try to help me, she definitely encouraged this to happen, saying this,

"Yume, you might as well do it now. Or things are going to get brutal later."

I sighed and asked, "So? What do I have to do?"

Laura briefly explained how things worked. So apparently you can challenge other students within this school with your rank. It's quite simple, you win and you get the student to do one thing for you and you keep the opponent's rank. You lose and your rank drops and you have to do one thing for the winner.

I looked at Girl #1 and offered, "So? Which subject do you want? Might as well get this over with."

"Ah Yume, the one who's being challenged get to choose," Laura added on, probably forgot about that.

I stared at Girl #1, absolutely bored, "It's fine. She can choose, it's fairer that way."

She started fuming in front of me and Laura chuckled. Girl #1 said, "Very well! I'll have you know that I'm rank number 20! Be prepared to lose Nijino Yume!"

I continued to stare at her. She's so noisy. She suggested Physics since she said it's her best subject and she won't lose to anyone in it.

'Yeah, you already did.' was what I was going to say.

It's a fact right? If she was that good, she wouldn't be just rank 20. We took out the phones that the school gave us, we're not allowed to our personal phones in this school because blah blah that I forgot.

Opened the app that's called 'Four Star Challenges' and accepted the challenge that was sent by Girl #1. It was a 30 minute quiz, and the one with the highest points win.

Within 5 minutes of the quiz, the winner has already been decided. The screen says,

Winner is Nijino Yume.

Duration: 5 minutes.

Points: 100.

The girl looked so humiliated when that happened. Even if one of student finishes first, the app will always wait until both are finished. But that isn't necessarily always the case, this app's objective to figure out who's smarter. So if you finish first and you get full marks, that obviously means you're smarter right?

"Are you done now?" I asked.

Girl #1 looked down on the ground, unable to say anything. Laura tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me, "Your request to her, Yume."

Right. I get to do that.

"Nothing," She looked at me incredulously, not believing a word that I said.

"There's nothing you can do for me," I repeated.

For some reason, she looked ridiculously relieved about that. Do people normally request for something?

After she walk away, I realized that there was a ridiculously long line after Girl #1. I face palmed and asked Laura, "Laura... they're not here for what I think it is right?"

Unfortunately, she nodded, proving my statement wrong. I sighed and muttered to myself, "What the heck is wrong with these people? I just want to get to class."

And as if things couldn't get any worse, Laura said that she had to leave for class, which means that right now, I'm here alone with a long line of students who's going to challenge me.

~~~
"Oh my God," I said as I stretched my body that's been sitting on a chair for who knows how long.
I saw Asahi-san waving at me so I walked to him and greeted him, "Hello Asahi-san. Did class just finish?"
He nodded and chuckled, "Yup. Looks like you had a tough time. Laura said that you had your first challenge today. And just call me Asahi."
I rolled my eyes and sighed in exasperation, "Tough is an understatement Asahi-kun. One after another, all saying the same thing but nothing changed."
"You'll get used to it. We were just about to get some lunch, do you wanna tag along?" Asahi-kun offered.
I nodded my head in excitement. Lunch sounds SO good right now.
